that should be decided by professionals, not keyboard jockeys.

If the "professionals" don't start doing their job responsibly, the Governor is going to remove their power.

oh goodie...we get a dictator! que the celebration...[/rollseyes]

If we have a dictator, it's Haushalter. At least the Governor was elected.

VP debate just changed distance between candidates from 7 ft to 12 ft.

Sounds like SCHD is a trend setter.

I heard Haushalter on the radio the other day. She gets very offended if you mispronounce her first name. Quite comical really. Expert?

I have to deal with a lot of highly educated MDs at work, so that doesn't surprise me. There are a surprising amount that get offended by the smallest things.

It's comical how some of the local defenders view things. The local Ministry of Health is the definition of dictatorial rule.

"Dictatorship, form of government in which one person or a small group possesses absolute power without effective constitutional limitations." Encyclopedia Britannica

RE: Shelby County Health Department - Looking to reduce 12ft mandate
They used an indoor study about singing without masks to set the 12-ft guideline (outdoors with masks).
They shutdown Riverside Drive for cars, instead of shutting down Tom Lee parking lots.
They shutdown limited service restaurants all over town, while leaving Beale open.
They said they would see how things went 2 weeks after Labor Day and consider loosening their stronghold. (They didn't.)
They said 2 weeks ago they would issue a new looser directive. (They are just now doing so.)
They setup tripwires in July that they are now ignoring.

experts...pfft

Probably appropriate indoors without masks facing towards each other.
Inappropriate outdoors with masks facing away from each other.

It happened... We're down to the 6-foot scenario.

RE: Shelby County Health Department - Looking to reduce 12ft mandate (Update: Now 6ft!)
Haushalter Wrote:“We’re not going to be back to normal for some time,” said Haushalter. “There will always be restrictions in place until, one, we have a vaccine and we have significant numbers of people who are vaccinated.”
https://www.wmcactionnews5.com/2020/10/0...-directive

So "14 days to flatten the curve" has turned into a multi-year lockdown (until the Governor takes care of it).

The mandate has loosened restrictions, businesses can now close later, and you still use the word lockdown.

Some of you just want to be repressed.

03-lmfao I could apply this logic to another segment of the population, and you wouldn't like it...

This is excellent news as it should provide both a better game day atmosphere & additional $ in the athletic dept budget this year since they appear to be adopting the same approach as with basketball & any credit on your account goes to next year and any single game purchase of this year is a new purchase.

SCHD - Looking to reduce mandate - Now 6ft
Quote: All season ticket holders who chose the ‘donate’ option during the #KeepMemphisRoaring campaign will be reseated according to the new guidelines. The new distancing allows for all ‘donate’ option participants to receive tickets for the remainder of the games, as well as opening a large number of single-game ticket inventory. Those season ticket holders who choose to credit their tickets to the 2021 season will be offered first priority to purchase single-game tickets. An email will be sent to fans in the coming days outlining the process to purchase.

Single-game sales for upcoming games will be available to the public beginning Friday, Oct. 9, at GoTigersGoTix.com or by calling the Tiger ticket office at 901.678.2331.

If the powers that be at UofM know what they know now, would they have let 19 people go in the AD?
