RE: Europe v Russia
The one-vote veto in the EU should have been enough to collapse the union in the first place; much less, now.

RE: Europe v Russia
Poland alone should be able to stand up to Russia.

Poland isn't Ukraine. It doesn't have a Russian-speaking 5th column. Poland is very nationalistic. Every major political party is anti-Russian.

Also unlike Ukraine, any Russian attack on Poland would have to go through Belarus or Lithuania. The lack of integrated logistics would make that difficult and put a strain on Russian resources - just look at how much trouble Russia has had in supplying Syria with enough supplies to defeat a few rebels.

Ukraine and Poland are about the same size, but Poland is much wealthier. Poland's economy and military spending are three times the size of Ukraine's.

Poland's defense budget is only 1/6th of Russia's. But Poland doesn't need a Navy. Poland also doesn't have a simmering internal rebellion (Chechnya), or a border with China or North Korea to defend.

Poland also has NATO allies. They are hand-in-hand with the Baltic countries on this. There are 4,500 US troops stationed in Poland. Even if Germany stood idly by, I highly doubt the French would abandon Poland.

The Russians would also need to isolate non-NATO members Ukraine and Finland away from the Poles. Both are anti-Russian and deeply understand that they are next in line if Poland capitulates to Russian demands.

Finally, Russia has no useful allies in the region. Every time in the last 3 centuries when Russia has defeated Poland, Russia has needed allies:
First Partition of Poland - Russia and France against Polish-Lithuanian "empire" (a loose confederation which contained Lithuania and much of Ukraine)
Second Partion of Poland - Russia and Polish nobility against Polish reformers
Third Partition of Poland - Russia, Prussia, and Austria against Poland
1939 - Russia and Germany against Poland

Poland is more likely to attack Russia if we use history as a guide. If not them attacking, Poland being used as a staging ground for western countries to try to conquer Russia for about the 10th time (all failed).

Who is this guy, why is he filming outside in some god awful desert country with a selfie stick, and why is bothering to explain things that every person in the world not currently in a coma already knows. I’m surprised he didn’t explain that Russia and Germany are political entities called “nations” and that the EU is a group of “nations.” Lol.

Looks like Southern California to me.

Yes, most of California south of the Bay Area is "god awful desert country" unless you're in a heavily irrigated estate on the coast, or way way up in the Sierra Nevadas.

That's the area roughly near Red Rocks in Denver. You can tell by those .. well ... giant red rocks. If you own some that god awful desert country I'll take it off your hands for $1,000. You know, a steal for you seeing how it's so awful and unwanted.
