Tulsa may stay ranked after this week even if they lose being at #18. Dropping 8 spots would be a pretty nasty drop considering they didn't even do that for SMU when we won by 30 at their place.

Yea, that’s a nice ranking and hopefully Tuesday’s CFP ranking will have them ranked similarly. Would be nice to get back to back wins against a ranked team to close the season and since they moved up so much, there is a solid chance they don’t drop too far if we win.

Marshall dropped like a rock, but then again the got shutout by Rice. Rice has not been good since Dicky Maegle and that was in the 50's. Look up Dicky he has one of the most famous runs. AIR he had broken away down the side lines and was going to go all the way when a player on AL came off the bench and tackled him in The Cotton Bowl? He was awarded a TD. The play is on Youtube.

RE: 2020 AP Top 25 Thread
The poll is what it is but "Joke of the Week" goes to Wisconsin at #25. Downright laughable as they couldn't even muster a single touchdown at home to Indiana and stand at 2-2 with "signature wins" over hapless twins Michigan and Illinois. Further evidence of the brand being picked over the quality.

Granted, Marshall was upset at home but still has lots of wins--enough in my mind to suggest they were worthy of the coveted #25 spot. As always, if records and analytics were more widely used and school names were concealed, polling would be vastly different.

Probably discussed in another thread that I haven't gotten the chance to read but all things considered, I think 6 is pretty respectable for the program and season (much more so than the sh!t the committee is pulling.) Can argue against ND, A&M, Clemson, OSU but they all have positives too.

Beat Georgia and #3 or #4 isn't out of the question and sets us up well for 2021.

I'm guessing that's our second highest finish, all time, in the AP behind Kelly's team that went to the Sugar Bowl? Impressive. Lots of bigger brands in college football that won't play a NY6 game this season either; much to celebrate in Cincinnati.

Number 2 in Coley Matrix behind Bama. Would a win over Georgia and a Bama loss to Clemson in playoff final put UC at number 1?

It will in Cincinnati, I will be buying a National Champion shirt, hat, etc. and I am sure we will be hanging a banner at Nippert claiming an undefeated National Championship, especially if Alabama loses.04-rock And I think Clemson will beat Alabama. I just hope we take care of our business

Best finish in UC's football history? I believe we finished 9th in the AP in 2009.
