Wow, UCF goes from 11 to right the fock out of the top 25 with a loss. Would that happen to a P5 school? Nope. It’s a slippery slope fellas.

True but did you see how high SMU's rise was? They were #31 in the poll last week and made it to #18. Not too shabby.

if/when we lose this will happen to us. This is an asterisk season due to COVID-19. Any conventions related to voting in the AP and Coaches poll are free to be broken.

i hope Coach Fickell and Co. are paying attention.

Sure, Fickell is watching the polls. [sarcasm]

Texas was a 11.5 point favorite at home and lost by two points after a fumble in the endzone in the closing minutes of the game. They fell from #9 down to #22 in the poll - almost out of the Top 25. UCF was a 21.5 point favorite at home and got beat by 8 points by Tulsa. TULSA! IMO, UCF was not as good as their big scores on bottom dwellers Georgia Tech and ECU. I think the voters took stock. Should they have stayed in the Top 25? Maybe. But, don't lose to Tulsa in a convincing fashion to hasten the drop.

You're right. Fickell obviously isn't watching polls. He's too busy figuring out talking points that provide cover for Ridder's latest shite show.

Can’t argue with any of the teams ahead of us. Plus, there are no 1 loss teams ahead of us, which is a great feeling.

Tulsa is no joke. They hung all game with Oklahoma State, who is now top 10. UCF probably shouldn't have fallen out of the rankings for the loss. Go to Tulsa and get a win. I'm sure they have the Cats attention.

Agreed on both Tulsa and Oklahoma St.

I was hope UC and UCF would be undefeated when they met to set up Gameday. UCF crapped the bed. With Ridder I fear we will have losses when we get to The Bounce House.

In sports there is the phenomena where one team just owns another. Tulsa, for whatever reason, had UCF’s number. Tulsa has won seven out of the last eight against the Knights.

Tulsa has been playing teams close for the past several years but typically end up on the losing side [4, 3, and 2 wins the past three seasons]. My comment wasn't aimed so much at Tulsa but at UCF. If you're truly a top 11 team you don't lose to Tulsa as a 21.5 point favorite - especially on your home field. They may turn out to be the conference surprise of the year but I'll have to see it to believe it at the end of the season.

Those polls are proof that nobody except the fan bases watch ESPN+ games.

If that game Saturday was on ESPN we’d have dropped to about 20.

RE: 2020 AP Top 25 Thread
The bottom line is just keep winning. You're not going to drop like LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and UCF if you don't suffer a bad loss. That aside, this is going to be a weird year in the polls due to COVID with teams playing a different number of games and fewer [or none] OOC. One example is #6 Ohio State getting two first place votes at 0-0 after as many as 3 games have been played LOL. Shoot, looking at 0-0 ranked teams - all moved up some spots except Ohio State. Hopefully, our off-week will see us go up as well. Might be a top 10 team when we travel to Tulsa.

I just hope we are top 15 after Tulsa with Ridder.

I just hope we are top 15 after Tulsa with Ridder.

Hoping the defense continues to show up and be special and the running game is still clicking. Ridder has to limit the stupid mistakes though.

I guess it is now a Still House. Will Woodford Reserve sponsor it?
