What do you all think of the production value of the WCYB Friday Night Rivals high school production versus the ESPN3/+ that ETSU does? David Jackson is by far a better play by play than what channel 5 has but I have been pretty impressed by the camera work from them. Thing is ETSU probably does the best job out of all the socon schools but i still may give the edge to WCYB. What do you all think?

I have also heard this has been pretty successful. Don’t know why either WCYB or WJHL doesn’t put the non con ETSU games (b-ball and football) on one of their digital channels (Non ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX Channel)

Money.

The quality of the WCYB production is far superior (in my opinion) to ESPN 3. The problem is that they don't pay the schools much at all, and this has been around long enough for the schools to do research on how much it costs them in ticket sales. The verdict: ALOT. There is starting to be substantial pushback from the schools, and I feel that it will be increasingly more difficult for WCYB to get marque games unless they pay more to the schools.

Our SoCon simply HAS to get some kind of tv packages for its football and basketball teams. That is, when things get back to normal.We see equal and lesser conferences do it every year and it is time for the new Commissioner to get us some tv.
