Amen.

I hope ESPN15 is ready to televise the games.

Very happy NIU is playing! I will be there for the weeknights and the Saturday’s if they allow us. I can’t see why they wouldn’t, we have been social distancing for a few years now, especially on the week night November games

For the 10 brain-dead nuts who would be at the games on a December weeknight, there will be plenty of room. They’ll run out of hot dogs, however.

With cancellations already happening around the country, I doubt if all six games are played.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The MAC needed to follow suit with the rest of the FBS. If it all gets shut down, at least we tried. Maybe we can recoup some money with the ESPN midweek MACtion games.
With no fans or tailgating might as well play the Wednesday night games.

Yea I've been there for cold games in November. December is asking a lot - I'm too old for that.

Lately, it seems like we’ve had colder Novembers than Decembers. Heck, it snowed last Halloween.

Just saw this:

Quote:Every MAC team will play three midweek games to start and then three Saturday games after Thanksgiving, per Bowling Green AD Bob Moosbrugger.

It is great that they will be playing football but it sucks to lose year of eligibility for just 6 games.

This should be a big benefit for this year's freshman class. Can play in 10 games before even starting their 4 years of eligibility. Considering the size and perceived quality of the class that makes for some great anticipation for 3, 4 and 5 years down the road.

As a fan, would love to see Bowers back in 2021. However, that would be his 7th year of college, I’m guessing he will have wrapped up his Masters program at NIU. Doubtful he stays, if he plays a 7th year probably transfers somewhere else.

Time to work on that doctorate?

RE: MAC play to start on November 4th
I think for a lot of the seniors it's going to depend on how this mini-season goes. If some dynamic playmakers emerge at tailback and receiver and the offense starts looking explosive they might be tempted to return for 2021. If the offense is as bad a slog as its been for the last several years then probably not. I expect the defense to be pretty good.

I would expect “The Portal” will be a revolving door for many schools when this season comes to an end.
