OK...Here is my problem. One basketball player and 5 football players are caught with allegations of wrongdoing with illegal drugs. :cop: Lets see the basketball player is kicked off the team and is out at Georgia. The football players are suspended for 2 games. What did the basketball player do to deserve his penalty?????.....Didn't say good morning to Dooley????......MMMMM, makes people wonder.....

It wasn't Vince's choice, it was Felton's. He felt he needed to go.

Both punished their players.
As for the player on the basketball team getting kicked off, like GDawgs said, that was Felton's decision. Here's a possible reason as to why the basketball player got kicked off the team and the football players got suspended for 2 games. This may have been the football players first infraction, and the basketball player's third or fourth infraction. Felton may not have liked his playing ability in general, and the drug use just infuriated Felton more. Again, I don't know what Felton's exact reasoning was; these are only possible answers.
I applaud both coaches for disciplining their players though. :)

It was not Arnolds (the basketball player) first brush with problems. He's spent much of his time at UGA on academic probation anyway.
For the football players, none of them had been in trouble before.
Not like they were assaulting people and kicking their teeth in (see University of Florida) either.
