I mean it happened once so no way it could happen twice.. But there was that 20 year old football player at Illinois State who died last month..
Hmmm
Neither of your statements is true. Can we add credibility to the list of things you don't care about?
As of 9/30/20, in the age group 15-24, there have been 362 Covid deaths. During that same time period, and in the same age group, there have been 6400 deaths from car accidents, 6200 suicides, 4600 homicides, and 4200 poisonings. There have been more drownings in this age group than Covid deaths. Should we prohibit swimming?
But, you're right, this is probably pointless. One camp believes we should take any and all measures, no matter how drastic, if it will save even one life. I don't see those people suddenly deciding we should put everything into perspective and let people make decisions and live their lives accordingly.

My bad for veering off.
Agree. I just want Buc Basketball, I don't care if they have to do it in front of empty arena's or in a bubble. I just want to see the guys play again and have a chance to get what they missed out of last year, playing in the NCAA tournament.

so we should just do a Logan's Run? Kill everybody when they reach a certain age? 24.. 30.. pick a cutoff
Stats of the 15-24 age group don't mean a damn thing, That age group doesn't exist in a bubble, they aren't dying but thier irresponsibilty is killing people. You can't put 100k+ student athletes, coaches and staff in a bubble for the duration of college sports. Or do you propose putting everyone over 70 or with
medical conditions in bubbles so the rest of the country can go about their business?
Wear a mask, be safe, be smart, it pretty much comes down to don't be selfish pricks, think about other people.
I don't like wearing a mask and I don't wear it to not catch COVID, I wear it so I don't give it to you, just asking for the same courtesy

RE: Pat Good leaving the team
I agree. Wear a mask, be safe, be smart.
I also agree we need to think about other people. Eighty percent of Covid deaths occur in people 65 and older, most with some kind of comorbidity. For young people, the vast majority of deaths occur in those with some kind of preexisting condition. It's selfish for people in these groups to insist we go beyond basic precautions (masks, social distancing, etc.) and shut down the whole world because they are at elevated risk.
Nobody is stopping anyone from quarantining and/or taking whatever other means they deem necessary to protect themselves. How about we in the high-risk group take personal responsibility to protect ourselves, and let those young people who are at minute risk live their lives?
