3-1 against 3 of the 4 bottom in the conference though... and they haven’t looked amazing doing it either. UCF is better than their record.

3 remaining against the top half of the conference and two are at home.
"Haven't looked amazing doing it," is pretty spot on. Possibly generous. Flashes of what could be, running two 9+ minute drives against Temple. Houston game was far more frustrating than BYU or even Air Force because it was right there but just off (and that's not to discredit Houston winning the trenches and executing when we didn’t).
I don't know if we can fix that "just off" or not. Positioned well, but a tough road if we cannot fix those numerous "just off" aspects.

to be fair houston run defense has been dominant all year.. houston kept tulane sub 100yd rushing, the first time that had happend in 56 games (70 total rushing yards)

then completely shut down byu running until the last drive (but the game was over then) (78 total rushing yards)-- they beat us passing

houston is statically the best run D in the league by a big gap, this despite playing only great run teams

byu's oline coach on byutv (they have their own sports shows)..they had a section of the show were they had section of the show where they had him pick who he thought would win pregame between navy and houston.. he said he didnt seen how navy could win, he said byu was pushing around navy and houston was pushing us around

"just off" with houston could mean something completely different with the rest of the conference

BYU KICKED YOUR TEETH IN PAL.

this is from THEIR oline coach ..they had 78 yards total rushing yds, that includes a 25yd td run at the end of the game on their last drive.

our pass d has been suspect, which is where they took over but we have dominated in run defense .

also the game wasnt as bad as the score, we were winning most of the game. we went for it on 4th down in our own territory with a minute to play, we didnt convert, instead of byu kneeling they ran it in for a td

UH was down by 3 with 3 minutes to play. BYU scored 2 TDs in the final 3 minutes including one after UH went for it on 4th & 11 on their own 17 yard line. Maybe if they punted instead of trying to win you would have been more impressed
