On the other hand, Memphis has one significant bowl game in its history whereas Tulsa has 3 plus several others that were of moderate importance.

I guess basing your success off of how many times you’ve beaten UCF is a pretty good indicator of how far our program has come lol

RE: Rating the AAC
Memphis did jack in the CUSA for a decade or so. They've been good for a few seasons when we haven't been so it all evens out. My only contention is that winning in the rain on the road, where the home team hasn't lost in years is tougher than barely eaking out a home win due to a missed FG after your defense sucked the whole day.

You didn't beat us at all in the decade of 2000-2010 and you were able to bypass playing our good teams in 07, 08, 2011, and 2012 because you wanted to be in the easier Eastern Division. Those Tulsa teams that you missed included two teams that played in the conference championship and they teams had a combined record of 40-15. In the past 4 years, you guys have gone 38-16.

Back to the business at hand:
1a. SMU - All Hail CSD
1b. Cincinnati - We'll find out whose number one on Saturday - can't wait.
3. Memphis - licking their chops for a chance at the CCG
4. Tulsa - now have me scared
5. UCF - Said before the season I wasn't sold on CJH
6. Navy - Dangerous putting them this low
7. Houston - Had they played another game or two, I say the beat BYU
8. Tulane - Another dangerous team
9. Temple - Haven't seen
10. ECU - Haven't seen
11. USF - Haven't seen

Evidence:
Memphis had their best year in history last year. It took Tulsa missing a field goal. Memphis beat UCF for the first time since the 1990s yesterday. It took UCF missing a field goal.
Therefore:
Memphis thinks the other team missing field goals makes them good.
Evidence:
Memphis has never beat UCF for a championship, Tulsa has.
Memphis has never beat a ranked UCF team. Tulsa has, multiple times.
Memphis beats UCF once every thirty years. Tulsa does it regularly.
Tulsa beat UCF just last year and UCF's starting QB talked about it being a focus of his this year. Memphis was just another let's get this W.
Therefore:
Memphis Yankee's take is trash
It's like you enjoy self owning.
Lol Memphis Yankee
Own this:
Memphis has been in the last 3 championship games. No other team in the AAC has done that. fact
Memphis doesn't need to cherry pick their accomplishments the last three years. Tulsa does. Fact
During those same three years. Tulsa is 2-10, 3-9, and 4-8. fact
Tulsa fan is trying to insinuate they are better than UCF in a ridiculous attempt to sidestep what they've been the last few years. Fact
Tulsa has one win this year and they think they should be considered one of the top four teams in the conference based on that one win. Fact
I'm not saying you guys aren't looking like you're on the right trajectory, and your defense looks solid so far. Get a winning record first before you start putting yourself in the top four, and quit trying to trash the teams that have.
Memphis last six games have been against Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Penn State, Arkansas State (don't laugh, they beat K-State who's ranked 22nd with one loss to Ark. St.), SMU, and UCF. We're 4-2 against those teams.
Tulsa, you're looking pretty good so far this year but it's really hard to keep talking trash to Memphis fans after a post like this lol
Not hard for a couple of these delusional Tulsa rooters who think because they won a game unexpectedly where they were overlooked & they think that counts for the season. They even evoke CUSA as if it is relevant (when was CUSA ever relevant?). When the season is done, Tulsa will still be woulda, shoulda, coulda mediocre Tulsa.
Good you put this all together so I don't have to respond to each one.
You really shouldn't put your faith in Yankee, I work this guy every five minutes. But you know that high saltiness is a genetic Memphis trait.
I use to think UCF was by far the worst of the we think football just started crowd, but then here comes Memphis beating their chest about losing games since 2017. Really that's your programs high water mark? And you want to talk about cherry picking while saying only look the last three years.
How believable is Memphis Yankee? He tried to up sell Memphis win and down play the Tulsa win by implying that a team who Memphis hadn't beat UCF since 1994 was UCF's superbowl. While overlooking Tulsa. This whole rant started because he got mad I pointed out UCF's starting QB in particular was looking forward to getting Tulsa back. Talk about jealousy including the Tulsa is cherry picking whine (while cherry picking) and an actually provably false claim to hide his own insecurity at the fact that Memphis has one win against UCF in his 3 year period, while Tulsa is the only team to beat UCF twice in that period. But let's not cherry pick like Yankee, Tulsa has a winning record against UCF overall, is undefeated vs them at home, oh yeah and beat UCF in a game for a championship, while also beating top 25 versions of UCF.
As pointed out already every great accomplishment Memphis football has had, came via the other teams missing field goals. Last year it was Tulsa and Memphis snuck into the cotton bowl and that third championship game, only because Tulsa (4-8) missed a field goal. Memphis after decades of futility squeaked out a one point win vs UCF at home when the Knights missed a field goal.
So according to Yankee Memphis' best team in history last year need a bad Tulsa team to miss a field goal to reach its peak
Yankee also knows better than UCF's QB who the team was overlooking
Yankee admits that Memphis best historic run is two championship game losses and two wins by opponents missing field goals.
Any other tiger fans still wanting to back Yankee on this?
JRR IV?
Come on you know you want to jump in here you are negative rapping me but have nothing to say?
Lol Memphis
How many times are you going to say the same nonsensical thing? Let me help ya find a shrink.

This all started with a Tulsa fan saying their UCF win was better than our UCF win. That's how desperate they are.
Now they have to go back into the annals of history to tout their Junior Varsity football program.
Hang a banner:
"Our football team is better than Memphis, because our win against UCF was in the rain". "The ball was really slippery".

Not the same. We said we suck in the rain. Over the past several seasons, when it rained we played our worst football. I was saying, maybe UCF sucks in the rain too. Why did they bring up the rain anyway? They won. They were giving UCF an out. Made no sense to me. Just saying.

I agree, but I was saying, I think UCF was looking ahead. It was a classic trap game. Ya think UCF wasn't chomping at the bit to reclaim their crown as the best team in the AAC by beating the defending champs?
Tulsa has a hell of a defense. Secondary is the best in the conference imo. Beating UCF on the road is a huge accomplishment for their program. Memphis has been shaky all season so far. Even so, they have one loss on the road by three against an undefeated team who's 5-0. Trying to make an argument that a 1-1 team should be ahead of a 2-1 team because they won by more against the same team only holds so much weight.
When Memphis and UCF played, they both knew that the loser was going to be out of any conversation for the NY6 game. Probably don't have a chance to win their division either. After the Tulsa upset, ya think UCF wasn't totally focused on the Memphis game? The stakes were sky high.
Even with the win, Memphis will need SMU to lose twice since our one loss is to them. We're going to lose to Cincinnati on the road, so we're doomed anyway. This won't be our year. Looks like it won't be for UCF either, but I still think UCF is the best team. The record doesn't say so, but your eyeballs do.

Just think it would take almost a decade of straight wins for Tulsa to tie the all time record. It's surprising how that is so lopsided considering those stats you posted. Sad Tulsa wasn't able to take advantage of getting wins vs Memphis while we weren't much of a threat.
That margin is only going to get bigger now *evil laugh*
