What old form? Their back-to-back Birmingham Bowl wins?

That will remain to be seen. The AAC has had more top 25 teams than the PAC-12 has had the past three seasons, on average.

Wow - I'm not sure Temple was a Tier 2 team last year. Yes, they played in a bowl game and beat Memphis by 1 on their home field, but they only beat 2 teams with winning records, and only managed to score more than 30 points in ~ games last season.

Moreover, their offense was ranked ~80th in the nation last season, and their OC was ranked #100 or lower in scoring or yards gained in the two prior seasons.

When have things like performance ever mattered for the invitational.

What devious formula did you use to put SMU ahead of UCF? UCF has a P6 win whereas SMU played 3 bad teams. Memphis is ahead of SMU until proven otherwise. I have no issue with you ranking SMU ahead of Cincinnati or anyone else though. I have SMU in 4th right now behind UCF, Memphis, and Cincinnati.

ECU has to be by far the worst team in the conference. Losing to Ga St 29-7 in the 2nd qtr.

Good sign for the Owls - - who might be able to win at least 1 game this season.
