RE: Rating the AAC
This was probably the worst day of the season for the conference:
(7-3) SMU, which had been in the AP top 20 earlier in the month, was defeated by (3-6) ECU.
UCF, which has had one of the strongest records in the AAC in recent years, gave up 46 points and only managed to beat (1-6) USF by 12.
One of the other strongest teams in the conference, Memphis (6-2), struggled mightly vs. (3-5) Navy, escaping with a very narrow 10-7 victory.
Following today's games, only three remaining conference teams have W-L records of .750+.
Other than Cincy and Tulsa (#7 & #22 in the AP & coaches polls), only UCF (#35 AP; #42 coaches poll) received votes in the AP & coaches polls. SMU (#34 AP), and Memphis (#35, coaches poll) received votes in one of the two week 13 polls.
NOTE: The conference appears to be on track to end the season with two AP top 25 teams, as it did in 2017 and 2018, after having finished the 2019 season with a record four teams in the Final AP top 25 and 5 in the top 33.
UP NEXT:
Houston - SMU
Tulsa - Navy
Memphis - Tulane
None of these will be a walk in the park.

I'm disappointed with SMU also, but they did beat Navy, Temple, Memphis, Tulane, and they are probably better than USF though they weren't on our schedule. No excuses for losing to a 2-6* ECU team though, especially with everything that was on the line.
By AAC Conference proclamation, officially 2-6* with an asterisk. Now 3-6*.
Oh shut up ya whiner.
C'mon man, we ask for so little. Throw us a crumb.

You never know. I did almost put them below UH this week, but UH canceled on us cuz they're COVID dirty, so I didn't want to give them that.

RE: Rating the AAC
Temple’s best players are probably Dre Perry and Brandan Barry, D.Dunn is a deadly two-point jump shooter. Quincy Ademokoya is a good catch and shoot player. J. Williams is quick and tenacious. Remains to be seen how good Battle is. Moorman needs to play like he did his freshman and sophomore years. Last season, Forrester was bad as he commits excessive fouls and turnovers.
Considering Forrester’s overall awful play last season (Temple outscored by a lot of points when he played), Pesik rating Forrester as Temple’s second best player is foolish. As is not ranking Perry at all. Perry could be a top 5 AAC player if played 30 minutes per game and told to shoot the ball. As last season, Perry shot 41 percent on three’s and 56.9 percent on two’s. Perry is head and shoulders better than either Forrester or Moorman.

THIS ^^^^^^^
Things change weekly - injuries - rust from missed weeks due to Covid. Heck at the beginning of the season Navy's football practice was non contact because of Covid. Enjoy the season - I am. How the heck did ECU ever lay 52 on SMU anyway. I had SMU at the top of the pack at the beginning of the season. Also I know SMU beat Memphis and Navy. It was a hard decision on the rating but ECU did hang 52 on SMU. We'll see how SMU handles Houston this week.

Granted SMU is not as good at the end of the season as they were at the beginning due to the absence of key players due to injury. But they hung 51 points on Navy without most of those key players, and ECU just snuck up on them and blindsided them. Some of ECU's points were off of turnovers which was SMU's fault. But their offense didn't produce all of those points. Houston is justifiably favored to beat SMU, so we'll see.
1) So are we rating teams or rating offenses?
2) Our QB was offensive player of the week
3)

Tulane is the 3rd best team in the AAC. We have a true freshman QB, tell me we still lose those games we were 99% likely to win against Tulsa & Navy and that we still lose SMU in Ot. Besides Cinci and UCF I feel good about playing anyone in conference.
