Not sure how it would come about, but I think Nebraska will find its way back to the Big XII soon

thats outstanding. When I first moved to the midwest in 2005, Nebraska fans were still a little delusional. They were mostly of the "we're having some down years, but will be back to domination in no time" mindset.
Fortunately, most have come to embrace their ongoing mediocrity.

Wait, what??? There is no way that is possibly correct. Is he really saying that Nebraska has never used a charter plane before?? Or that the team has never stayed in a hotel??

No, read the article. That's a direct quote from the Nebraska AD, Bill Moos. Here's a couple of paragraphs:

"But Moos wasn’t just complaining about playing what might be the two best teams in the Big Ten. He was also complaining about the order of the games. Ohio State is the opener, on the road, and you would not believe the horrors travel apparently presents to Nebraska.

“'First time we’re on a charter aircraft, first time we’re in a hotel, first time everybody on the sidelines has masks on, first time with electronic whistles, everything’s going to be new,' Moos said. 'I didn’t feel that had to happen.'”

Maybe he just means the first time this year?? In any event, it's freaking stupid. These guys look like clowns. They were the ones banging the drum loudest in the Big 10 about playing, and now crying about playing.

I understand the appeal to Neb sports fan. BUTT!!! as a bean counter(money guy), Nebraska gets so much more $$$$ from big ten than the the big 12 (remember Texas gets more that anyone else). Plus there is the B10 academic snob appeal. NO WAY Neb leaves B10

I think he means the first time for THIS team (this year). Yeah, it’s a stupid argument, which is sorta the point of the article

Same thing with Maryland. They have ZERO business being in the B10, but the money's too good. They had great rivalries in the ACC.
