No but if they give him time and a couple of recruiting classes he will bring them back. He doesn't have the quarterback.

The quarterback would be fine if he didn't have one of the worst, if not the worst offensive line in D1. It was the worst last year and is awful this year. Their offense has no hope.

He'll get 4 years to prove his worth. Hopefully he gets his QB but he'll need more than a QB. That team is bad. Our athletes look more explosive than them.

RE: Norvell positive
I think the multiple transfers with Brady would normally cause him to miss a year. Contrary to what 'insiders' say, it's not a given he would be eligible. Probably why he didn't go this year.

Turns out, with the COVID, he likely would have been ruled eligible - and could next year as well.

I just don't know how motivated a 25-year old (with career options) would be for another year of college ball.

Maybe... He is in a very different situation having to rebuild FSU as opposed to maintain and building on Memphis when he got here. That is not to diminish what he did here at all, just pointing out they are very different scenarios. He was a class act here and I do hope he gets it done down there.

Not if they are losing to Georgia Tech and getting blown out by the rest of the ACC. He will get two max if he does not show serious improvement before the end of this year or early into next season. FSU is not interested in waiting 4 or 5 years to be a contender...

I don't know if there was ever serious discussion about White following Norvell to FSU. Regardless of if there was or wasn't, or how seriously it was discussed, I am sure of one thing.

IF we returned an offensive line that was as horrible as FSU's, and FSU returned an offensive line that was as good as ours, the odds of White leaving would have been exponentially higher. Even if Norvell did want him and White did want to follow him, there had to have been some sort of talk about how White would be running for his life (not as fast as FSU's quarterbacks) on every play at FSU.

It would have been suicide for both of them. It would have made Norvell look like a bad coach, and White look like a bad quarterback.
