USF is a complete rebuild. Give your coach the time he needs to right the pirate ship. He needs 3-4 years minimum go build it back. The cupboard is bare. It takes time to fill it.

Yeah, I agree Notre Dame is going to be pretty good this year. USF will most likely be competitive against most teams this weird season. Pick up a couple more wins next year and go into year three set up to compete at a pretty high level.

I haven't checked our schedule lately.

I am sorry. I was not very clear with my point. The coach has about two years to correct USF's direction. With the 2 for 1"s, It is going to be difficult to turn around after that.

Fair enough, I stand by my assessment. They were not a match for Notre Dame this year, but I expect they will be very competitive in three years. The extra eligibility from this year will pay off next year a little extra, but in two years they will be ready to go again.

I realize reading comprehension might not be the strong suit at that bastion of academic excellence that is Georgia State, but you'll notice that I fairly consistently suggested throughout the thread that USF was going to get beaten badly. In fact, I'd say my meme was spot on - we felt the pain.

It never ceases to amaze me how the fans of the self-appointed "oracle of knowledge on how to be successful in college football" are quick to tell us what we're "doing wrong" and fail to recognize that they're five seasons removed from finishing an 0-12 with the following scores:

44-3 home loss to USF
44-7 home loss to ECU
45-30 road loss at Tulsa
52-7 road loss at Cincinnati
59-10 home loss to Houston

That team took their lumps, got their reps and, miraculously, did not destroy their clubhouse morale. In fact, it built the character that ended up winning their "national championship" only 2 years later.

Oh, and I for one am happy that our coach didn't go for the cheap, meaningless FG when we drove to the Irish 19 yard line down 45-0. That's an admission that you're so vain you just care about optics instead of actual on field success.

I’m not one of those posters, but I f you think any UCF fans put much thought into our record 5 seasons ago after the success we’ve had since then including 2 NY6 bowls and an undefeated season, you would be mistaken. It’s worse than one of our fans referencing your loss to McNeese State when Flowers was taking you to 10+ wins.
