A Biden win means that Pelosi, Schumer lose and the R's gain control of Congress

A Biden loss keeps Pelosi and Schumer AND the Dem's gain control of the Senate.

Can’t have Biden win. Trump can always veto legislation, but letting the Obama crew and the squad into the WH can’t happen.

Maybe we allowed the executive branch to get too powerful then.

If there's one wing that's almost too powerful its the legislative branch.. Actually 2 of the 3 need to be reigned in. Judicial seems to be chugging along as planned.

The branch that is too powerful is the 4th or 5th branch. The permanent bureaucracy. That’s where things have largely spun out of control.

Absolutely. They have no accountability, and the public has no idea.

I'd revise the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) to provide:
1) Every new rule or regulation is subject to congressional approval, automatically if it has a financial impact of $1B or more, and otherwise if 20% of congress request it
2) Sunset review by congress every 10 years of every agency and all rules and regulations issued by that agency
3) Replace adjudication of disputes by an administrative law judge (ALJ) who reports ultimately to the executive director of the agency, with Article III administrative law courts in every federal judicial district.

I put Biden win because if Dems get complete control of congress. They will impeach Trump.

Them is some hitty choices, therefore neither is a true choice. I would personally prefer sending every liberal/ progressive/ communist/ socialist home from DC to live in the squalor their decades of policy have created.

We have, but as pointed out, not the President himself but the accumulation of delegation of power throughout the executive branch over decades. The executive branch needs reigned in through realignment of structure and the elimination of redundancy.

I completely agree.

But we'd have a Repub congress instead of trump winning then getting impeached from a Dem Congress.

Considering that it takes 2/3 of the senate to remove from office, and there's no way democrats are getting 2/3 of the senate, let them impeach. It will only inspire more of a backlash in the midterms.

I haven't answered this because the hypothetical proposed is unrealistic. It would be very difficult for a president to get elected and have both houses go against him, particularly since one already leans in his favor.

Didnt "let" anything become too strong. Thats the way the original constitutional division of powers has always been. The legislative and executive branches must work together to pass legislation. They are "equal" branches of government. However, the legislative branch is technically more powerful as it has a way to overcome a presidential veto. The reality is legislation must be popular enough to attain a super majority within Congress for the legislative branch to overcome a veto.

What we have allowed to get too powerful are the administrative agencies. Too many, also, for that matter.

Our lives are being manipulated by nameless, faceless, unaccountable bureaucrats. And not for the better.

Such a scenario is very counterintuitive. And yet...

Over and over and over and over and over again and again and again and again and again.

My vote in this poll was lost in the mail.

The first four were because republicans focused on the White House and blew off congress until Newt in 1994. Clinton won because republicans abandoned the momentum of Newt's contract, and republican candidate was an uninspiring Bob Dole. Happened 5 times in 40 years, then hasn't happened in 20+ since.

The legislative branch has the opportunity to override a presidential veto.

It is not as outlandish as you would think. It doesn't seem likely, but not impossible.

RBG puts even more of a snag in this because there IS a chance that the Senate goes back to Dem or at least 50/50 - and that d-ck Romney is a closet Dem besides.......

Trump winning and Dems controlling congress will unfortunately be one 4 year long hearing trying to Impeach Trump for everything from picking his nose in public to sleeping past the alarm.

Pelosi wants to impeach him right now because he is trying to do his job (naming a SCJ). '

Frankly if he get another Justice on before the election - it doesn't matter if he wins, the court will be set for a long time............ Another prediction, regardless of who gets on RvW will not be reversed....
