I'm sure people will be completely understanding when rates go up and won't blame the GREEDY INSURANCE COMPANIES

Yeah, I keep hearing that protesters say "why worry, they have insurance". It's statement like those that make me realize they are complete idiots. They have no clue to lots of those business' won't reopen, lots, won't be able to get insurance, and those that are able will have higher premiums. My guess is the protesters are too stupid to know any of that.

Does insurance cover damages from rioting and looting? 2 Billion in insurance 'claims' does not equal total cost of the damage.

That is only the covered damages. I'm sure there was at least that amount in uncovered damages, and I would be that many of the mom and pop business that were looted/destroyed don't have much or enough coverage for these sorts of events.

Too bad you can't hold the people who did the damage accountable.

Oh, I think you can, but you would need a court system that would allow and the people owed $$$ would have to put some effort in going after it.

This.

At the very least it would be nice to actually charge the perps and put them in jail for a while.

Instead, progressives use the revolving door policy.

ha... as I typed the word "progressives" I thought about how ignorant these people are that self-describe themselves as such.

Allowing crime to go unpunished is the complete opposite of progressive. It's reverting back to the base behavior of uncivilized people. Rape, loot, pillage and destroy... nothing progressive there at all.
