Some how I got bumped out of here once. Kept trying must have ten or more times to get back in. Nothing I did worked. Finally sent a message on messenger to the website to get back on.

So no fans allowed? Along the lines of a tree falling in the forest - if no fans show up for a BG home game and no one notices, did they actually ban fan attendance??

RE: MAC Football Restart
Today's Blade - The dozen university presidents convened to discuss a proposal for a six to eight-game season, which, per league sources, would begin as soon as Oct. 24 and culminate with a championship game Dec. 19 at Ford Field. No fans would be permitted at games and players would be tested multiple times per week, though not necessarily daily, as they will be in the Big Ten.
The virtual meeting Saturday was described as informational and did not result in a vote, but my sense is the return of the MAC could be imminent.
“The optics of being the only league not playing would be incredibly negative,” a high-ranking conference source said. “We have to play. We have no choice.”

RE: MAC Football Restart
Other non power 5 or 6 now conferences, such as C-USA, Sunbelt, recruit the same athletes as the MAC and with their scheduled appearances on the ESPN channels maybe forging ahead years to come for athletes with the MAC being second rate. Of course that could all changed when the MAC resumes football this fall with the weekday Nov games. The MAC started this baloney about canceling the season ( I think NIU push for this nonsense) and was hoping others, other than the Big 10 and PAC 12 would follow suit, that didn't happen. Get it done MAC presidents for the sake of your conference. If Covid strikes with a vengeance, then and only then shut it down. BTW, other conferences are allowing fans to attend the games. Gee how many fans attend games in Akron, BGSU, EMU, Miami anyway during pre covid times, would not be that many over the allowable Covid restrictions.

Sounds promising. If the players get to play, super. If no fans can attend, fine. This would be a good time to create a viewable TV plan (not just in Ohio) opportunity for season ticket holders.

What conferences are allowing fans to attend? BigTen is not
MAC challenge is financial, less revenue this football season, huge increase in costs for daily testing of players and staff

I have no idea what the MAC is going to decide, but I would be shocked if UT allows more than immediate family in the stands IF football is played in GB this fall

Should not be that hard to allow some level of capacity at around say 20-40% and still be able to social distance. No tailgating, no concessions, no lines to get in, etc. etc. Shouldn't be that difficult to come up with solutions that will work.

Yep...if they're going to do it and eat the travel costs (even if they'll be same day bus rides), they are certainly not going to do anything other than have event staff at the gates to save what little cash they can.

Public events over 10 people are currently not permitted on UT main campus, again I would be very surprised if any fans would be allowed into GB on game day (besides families)

Let me ask you this...
What happens to our Season Tickets if we play in October and not in the Spring as planned?

I am assuming fans will not be allowed to attend fall games, you could get refund for your 2020 season tickets or apply to 2021 season tickets
Hearing that may be end of this week until MAC Presidents make a decision on fall 2020 football.

Nothing.... tickets move to 2021 or ask for a refund.

RE: MAC Football Restart
For Paul J, Ohio high schools are allowing fans, also there are concessions, its working. Why can't the MAC make it work, let's do it. Social distancing is being practice at the high schools, I have been there.
