A Pennsylvania judge threw the book at several protesters – setting their bail at $1 million each – for allegedly rioting in the wake of the police shooting of a knife-wielding Lancaster man.


Lancaster police nabbed a dozen people and one juvenile for staging the riots around 3 a.m. Monday in clashes that culminated in police deploying tear gas at the crowd.

The overnight violence came on the heels of the death of Ricardo Munoz, the mentally ill 27-year-old who was seen on body cam footage charging at a cop with a knife in hand. The officer shot and killed Munoz Sunday afternoon outside his mother’s house in downtown Lancaster.

That’s what every one of those rioters, looters and protesters deserve. If they are in the street complaining they need to be jailed. They can complain about that too.

Define unreasonable. I find it to be quite reasonable, considering the alternative that they feel justified in causing AT LEAST that much economic damage to their community.

It seems we've forgotten the obvious bias in Roger Stone's incarceration time. Was that justified? Were all those LEO's necessary to arrest him?

If these clowns came from out of state to riot the bail is justified because they are a flight risk. They need to watch out. I'm from Central PA. Everyone there is armed and they know all the places they will never find the bodies.

The charges most of them have are enough to justify it. One guy only has a $100K bail (which he still couldnt make). Some of these guys are charged with firing missiles into a highway, along with a half dozen other felonies. Thats basically domestic terrorism.
