Hipsters are people that try too hard to be different (and genuinely do think that they're being different), by rejecting anything they deem to be too popular.
Ironically, so many other people also try too hard to be different that they all wind up being the exact same, so hipsters aren't actually different at all, they're just people that are snobbier and more annoying about their taste in "alternative" things, which are all popular now thanks to the other hipsters.
Hipsters pride themselves on liking things that no one else likes, and normally only really like them because they think no one else likes them and that they're being unique. This is being delusional because all the other hipsters also like the same things.

And I'm sure whoever is on Sports56 has a great game of 10 Questions going on right about now - I don't know this, but I know it's true.
At any rate, I have stopped listening to the radio entirely, and dropped my subscriptions to local papers this year and won't go back with the current bunch of hacks. It's really just too bad.
Guess it's been this way for a while now - thinking of Cal & the miserable's, Tommy's rant, all the cheap shots to Rip. Now they're going after Penny, and didn't let Silverfield make it past 1-0 before this bus garbage.

If I wanted to listen to somebody tell me how smart they are and how stupid I am, I would put my wife on speakerphone for the drive home.
I've found in my professional experience (with mostly engineers), that most really smart people don't feel the need to prove to or tell other people how smart they are. I have found most people who try to tell you how smart they are to be incompetent.

I like GP's show if he leaves politics out of it. But he doesn't have the self control to or willingness to do that. Used to listen to him everyday, stopped, haven't listened in months.
I love GP and like his politics so it’s a win win for me but yeah all those other dudes just don’t do anything for me. I miss Verno but not enough to listen to a podcast.
