I usually enjoy Jason and John and feel like they really are Tiger fans...As opposed to Gianatto and Jeff where its Michigan, SEC, Michigan, Michigan. Caulkins and GP are in between but love the I told you so ****.

Jeff is alright, at least he’s from here and not some out of town a hole with an agenda

Curious - What has Brooks said about Skyy Clark? Before Clark announced us in his final four, 247 didn't even have us listed as a serious contender. I know that's based upon the overall 247 staff, and not necessarily Brooks. So I'm curious. And I know recruiting is fluid.

I would listen to Jason and John and GP on 92.9/AM 680. Mainly because they talked a lot about the Tigers. I mostly listened to GP because I would tune in on the drive home from work. Both were entertaining shows. When politics started becoming front and center on GP show, I quit listening back in March.
Jason and John are the best for Tigers coverage. Primarily, because they actually do care about the program. Yes, they - really John - can be sophomoric. But they care and have some decent guests (although it's sad they don't do the Clay Travis segments any longer).
You certainly can't say that for Giannotto. Jeffrey is fine as a producer, but their show is awful. And I don't even count Barnes as serious media.
Calkins cares about the city. But he's gone off the deep end on his political spin during 2020. Unless you are far left, you just can't listen to him any longer.
GP cares about himself only. You have to know that coming in. However, he can be entertaining in small increments. And I think he's starting to get the picture about the political spin. He seems to have backed off on that in the few podcasts I've listened to over the past couple of weeks. Again, he thinks only of himself. So if he thinks ratings are slipping due to politics, he will back off.

Pretty much nailed it. But I quit listening to J and J too. They aren’t as in tune as they make out to be. Just like with Cisse among others. Since MM left he is lost.

Yes, If I have to listen to one show, it would be Jason and John. I enjoy their show the most.

If you think Calkins is a hipster, you have absolutely no idea what hipster is.

Hung out with him one evening thru mutual friends and got to know him a bit. Calkins is a nice guy, but when I mentioned to someone else about the type of weapon I carry, he immediately made a big production about "why on earth do you feel the need to carry a handgun in Memphis?".
He is getting paid to be a sport reporter but like you said tweets "silliness" and tries to troll Politicians. You can't do both and be taken serious. Honestly he needs to stick with sports because even my left-leaning friends think he is a political hack.

Person said ‘Wannabe‘ hipster. Most thought Caulkins was old school liberal and Parrish of the ‘millennium woke’ side. Seem that Caulkins embraced Gary side this year

These outsiders couldn't care less and love hating on the program at every turn.
Opportunity Hording. The upper class rather give the opportunities to people in their own social network. Media is very competitive now with the diminishing number of jobs.
The only way local talent gets hired if they work for nothing for a few years.

None of them care about the city. It's easy to tell. All are just looking for a lifeboat. Hoping to get one of the lottery tickets to easy money for people with no talent.
Maybe Calkins, but Calkins is just happy that anyone pays attention to him.

He called GP a hipster.
