Lincoln got his first 100 yard game with 122 yards in a loss to Louisiana yesterday.

We should have offered him a schollie. He’s better than Clark or Watkins.

Yep, the staff clearly misjudged him. Which is odd since they guy tore it up at Houston High and they play high level completion. And he was in our on backyard.

Like their RB coach said, went catfishing and caught Moby Dick.

This kid is special, and had they not been using 5 RBs, some with impressive P5 offers, would not have been held under a 100 in any game. Their OC said last week they now see the error in their ways, and Mr. Pare will now get the carry's (he is averaging 6.7 ypc, and leads their team in rushing) .

Their fans compare him to former Nebraska Cornhusker Rex Burkhead.

I've been keeping up with his stats and will continue follow along. Wish nothing but the best for him. Too bad didn't get to see him in Tiger blue.

He's legit, for sure.

RE: Lincoln Pare
He is their starter now, and a star in the making and holding him under 100ypg per game is going to be a challenge for their opponents . Had they went with what they were seeing in fall camp and made him the starter going into the season, don't think any team they have played would have held him under a 100, and he would be looking at a 1200-1500 yard season as a true.

Good hard runner and really good receiver out of the backfield. I would love to have him in our offense.

RE: Lincoln Pare
He got hurt and missed the last couple of games but should be good to go again, as a freshman again, next year.

They named former Tennessee coach Butch Jones as their HC today, and the expectation is former Houston HC Major Applewhite will join him as their OC.

One touted RB has already hit the portal since Anderson left, so I imagine keeping Mr. Pare will be a priority.

His wife died from breast cancer last year. He was probably ready for a change of scenery.

He had made it clear he was struggling because everything reminded him of her.

While they made it clear he was welcomed back as their HC, their AD said they had been working with him for several weeks to help him transition to another home, and reduced his buyout from 800K to 150K. Might explain how quickly they had a replacement..

Former DeSoto Central in Southaven, Miss. RB Alan Lamar (5-9,203) has decided to join A-State as a GT from Yale. Lamar accumulated 6,534 total yards and 77 touchdowns in HS.

According to AStateNation, he was a Parade All-American, First Team USA Today All-Mississippi and First Team All-State honors. He was Shelby-Metro and the DeSoto County player of the year after his senior season when he rushed for almost 2,400 yards and led the state with 43 touchdowns.

He graduated from Yale this month with a degree in ecology and evolutionary biology, and was a 2nd team All Ivy League selection this past season.

Slight correction, Lamar was 2nd team All Ivy League selection as a freshman, and 1st team All Ivy League, and All New England selection in 2018.

Did not play in 2017 because of pre-season injury, or this year because of the COVID. Not sure how many years of eligibility he has.

Thanks in advance.

What is wrong with you? Why on earth do you think we care about what your team is up to?

RE: Lincoln Pare
I keep up with all the other Arkansas colleges and Universities on Hogville.

Lamar, like Pare, is a local player that got a lot of recognition in HS that some might not know what happened to.

I agree not exactly NTR because you will almost certainly have to deal with both of them next year.

Also noticed that Ethan Hassler out of Collierville, committed to them today.

https://247sports.com/player/ethan-hassler-46098062/

He should redshirt so you will not have to deal with him down the road.

Look for Butch Jones to be more aggressive in recruiting players from the Memphis metro area than Anderson was.
