This is the first official week of the Pickem season. Anyone may play, whether or not you played last week. We are picking against the point spread this year. Because this will probably result in frequent ties, we will have one designated Tiebreaker Game each week. The first tiebreaker will be picking the winner of that game correctly. If that doesn't break the ties, the player who guesses closest to the total points scored by both teams combined will win, regardless of whether his guess is higher or lower than the actual total.

Players may skip one week (either on purpose or accidentally) and still be eligible for the season championship, which will be determined by season W-L %. However, players may not skip either of the final two weeks of the season (the Ted Williams Rule). Players who are ineligible for the season championship may nevertheless continue to participate in the weekly contests.

If you wish to change one or more of your picks before 11:30 AM on Saturday (the deadline for all entries unless there is a weekday game on the card), you should do so in a new post. Please don't edit your initial post because I might not notice the change. In your new post, please indicate clearly which game(s) you are changing.

Each week, first place winners (and ties) will receive 3 rep points; second place gets 2 points and third place 1 point. Points for the season race will be doubled.
