Football Scholarship Tracker
So, I somehow ended up on the 247 ODU scholarship page....and like all things 247, it was completely jacked up. "I can do better", I thought.

So I did (maybe).

ETA I decided to remove the attachments.

RE: Football Scholarship Tracker
Missing Prospect Brian Pinkney (S) and wrongly included Isaac Abel (TE), who is no longer with the program. Even after looking it over 150 times...

RE: Football Scholarship Tracker
I personally wouldn’t count anyone EXCEPT seniors who would have started or been high snap count reserves for more than the years they have remaining (sans Covid). The NCAA is only allowing THIS years senior class to go above the scholarship limit next year, so after next year there probably won’t be enough scholarships for all these guys to stay on scholarship past their original timeline

IIUC there will be eligibility for all from NCAA, but no guarantee of scholarship money, which is left to each school to figure out. First relevant hit on google:

https://www.king5.com/article/news/healt...db9200af2e

This will be fluid...for example, it I did this before the Wednesday Night Massacre it would include all the seniors who were told this was their last semester on scholarship.

RE: Football Scholarship Tracker
So if players play this year, do they still get another year of eligibility? Or is it just for the PAC/MAC etc who don’t play? If it’s everyone that’s a huge advantage for team’s playing. Imagine getting a whole extra year of practice and game experience and not having it count. There will be a lot of 6 year seniors in the future if that’s the case.

I believe that's correct.

Yes, it’s all fall sports.

However, only returning seniors’ scholarships will NOT count above the 85 limit next year.

Thanks, I missed that. It's a bit of a moot point for ODU football, however, since we're not renewing all but 5-6 of those guys come December.

Except all those “year back” will start to be an issue for the 22-23, because teams will have to stay at the limit of 85.

Except we were discussing seniors, which those guys aren't.
