Let's face it - it was a smashing day of college football. Exceeded all expectations. Exciting games, upsets, the whole gamut.

If I am a B1G football fan, I am fuming.

It was a mixed bag but much better than no college football at all.

I agree. Some great football yesterday. Even though I only have OTA channels. Ark St/KSU was a great game. Duke/ND was good through 3 qtrs. GT/FSU started OK but because of weather delay they showed Clemson/WF .
Some great games on the cable channels that I was following.

Thinking that is why they are trying to change their vote. Even so, will the liberal governors allow them to play? Especially Michigan’s governor who keeping a tight grip on things.

It was nice to see real games. Seems like the conferences and teams are still taking precautions seriously.

My concern is about fans. In some games, there were too many and not sufficiently distanced.

Will be interesting to see testing results and spread of COVID in these communities over the next several weeks.

With regards to the BIG, it will be too difficult to get all the schools aligned on a common approach. Only some teams are set to compete at a high level immediately (or within the next month). The longer the BIG waits to make a decision on fall games, the less likely it is that any serious games are played until next fall.

I agree with you, but have a feeling we'll be in the minority.

I love unpredictability in college football, and I think we might be getting the most unpredictable season since 2007, maybe ever.

It was a meh day- but only because the schedule in general was pretty meh. If there had been a good SEC game at 3:30 on CBS and then a good SNF game on ABC at 7:30- it would have been a great day.

And the PAC and B1G didn’t even play. Otherwise we would have seen Eastern Washington of someone like Portland State knocking off Washington or Oregon State and Bowling Green taking down Illinois.

Doesn’t matter though, we’ll get the same cast of characters posting next season “Yeah the AAC has a fine year, but it was a one off and I don’t see how Memphis, UCF or Cincinnati could finish .500 in any P5 conference.”

As much as I'd love to see that, it wasn't going to happen this year. Illinois would have won by 35 or more over this year's BG.

Yeah, but in this particular season those teams don't have 3-4 early auto-wins to build confidence. They have like 1 (and some of them already blew that one).

IF the season comes to a 10-11 game conclusion, then I think a lot of teams are going to learn some hard truths about how good they actually are.

The three G5 conferences are relishing getting moved up the pecking order on TV.
