Congrats Green Wave. I hate the way it ended, but good comeback. Good luck the rest of the way.

Yeah that ending sucked. See you in NOLA in a few years.

You've obviously not watched much Sunbelt football. Tulane getting slapped around so far.

Ahem....also today
ULL 31 - Iowa State 14
Arkansas State 35 - K-State 31
At the half Coastal Carolina 28 - Kansas 3

It warms my heart hearing that the neither "big" nor "12" got exposed by the fun belt.

Hats off to you sir.

Congrats on the win Green Wave. Tough loss to break in our new stadium but you guys are the best team we’ll play all year so not all bad. Looking forward to our trip to NOLA. Good luck the rest of the way![/align]

Fritz’s clock management skills seem a little shaky. I still can’t understand the decision to not use a timeout at the end of the half and force a punt so they could try to score. Then the play calls on the clock killing drive seemed to be the same exact call giving USA a chance to get the ball back. The leaping penalty was the correct call, but that bailed Fritz out, along with his defense and #22. That dude was full of fight all game.

Brutal game on both sides. Happy to escape with a win. Fritz said we should have been scrimmaging more, but we have had this problem of starting slow since last year (Ucf, Navy, temple, USM all being examples of games we fight back in after spotting massive leads). Need to figure it out, and hope our freshman QB Pratt realizes we will need him at some point this year.

RE: ***Official Tulane at South Alabama Game Thread***
Missed the game, but congrats Tulane! Scores have been a lot closer than I expected thus far but at least the AAC is off to a good start record wise. Gotta figure the lack of practice/hitting done before the season has probably skewed the results of the season a bit, but at least it's something everyone has to put up with.

Also, if those scores against Iowa State, K State and Kansas posted above held, The Belt is off to a good start this year. Props to them for performing well when more eyeballs are on them and making the most of this opportunity

Wins a win this year, especially in the first game.

Congrats Wave.

Does this qualify as a "Struggle Win"?

Maybe... from my side it was more like a "struggle loss." Considering you don't have a winning series record against us in football, baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's tennis, or women's tennis, you might be more right than you know. Too bad you don't sponsor women's soccer or softball! 03-drunk

Disclaimer: this post is entirely tongue in cheek, and I mean no ill will to the Green Wave. See you guys in NOLA in a few years! I had a blast at the Superdome in 2013, and looking forward to seeing your new stadium. 04-cheers
