What are you talking about? The AAC was ranked higher than the ACC and that is including Clemson. It amazes me how some of our fans have an inferiority complex. Brutal.

Saying ACC defenses are faster than AAC defenses is not an inferiority complex. Go to sleep old man. It's true.

Y'all dudes so emotional about facts. Why you think Louisville struggling now? Big 12 is their natural fit. They have to recruit Florida just to keep.

RE: NTR - NTR - NTR - Norvell
If you want to get some good insight into FSU football, go to WARCHANT which is a paid and also free service on YOUTUBE by some pretty good FSU supporters. Here is what I am seeing on there.
1. FSU has a real QB problem. They actually had a chance to get the Freshman QB that went to Georgia Tech and are now wishing they had signed him.
2. Norvell's QB of the future, Chubby Purdy, is suffering from a broken collar bone injury. He will be out up to 8 weeks and may not play this year. They do have another back up QB who may play in the next game. But, that position is considered a key weakness that is not Norvell's fault.
3. They have some talented players but they are not playing like they are very talented.
4. Admittedly, Norvell has to bring in his own guys and they seem to still be high on Norvell.
5. This was a really tough loss because GA TECH was projected to finish LAST in the ACC.
6. Norvell has his work cut out for him. The fans really dislilked Taggart and some even think he was responsible for ruining the program that Norvell now has to fix.

One thing that appeared obvious is that FSU does not have the team speed of Memphis. Norvell focused a lot of 2 and 3 star players that had great speed then developed those players and that greatly helped our program. I am not sure Taggart focused much on recruiting pure speed. Seems like several of those potential fast FSU recruits ended up at UCF.
FYI, Norvell plays the FSU war chant at practices. Taggart played Hip Hop and Rap songs.

I watch those guys. Hopefully they give Coach Norvell enough time to rebuild and get his players in. Everything about the Florida States offense is slow.

Loserville was 3rd in the conference in scoring last season at 33.1 points per game. In 2013; their last season in CUSA they were 12-1, had Teddy Bridgewater and scored 35.2 points per game. In conference they scored 28.6 points per game. ACC defenses are faster than AAC defenses.

Our fans are so sad, they will make up anything. Put down the pipe.

These WARCHANT guys are really good. From the way they analyze the games and players and go in depth, they appear to have a lot of coaching experience.

Yep. That's my feeling about it. He's got to get rid of the knuckleheads and get his type of guys in, which were pretty much here when he came in.

Well said! 04-cheers

Agreed...I was pulling for him...If they give him a chance, he will be a success.

Fuente pretty much had nothing to work with when he got here.

Norvell kept it rolling.

I miss both - We won't really know about Silverfield for a couple of seasons unless he just absolutely tanks.

That’s a good reminder. I liked Norvell better than Fuente, but I should be grateful for what he did for the program. It wasn’t all him (we started investing in the program and the admin made good decisions), but we should be grateful for the part he played.

It seemed to me, and this is simply my opinion, that Mike was more invested in the community, city, region....as in, he wanted fans, wanted them to experience Tiger football if they had not, and then hopefully would convert to a Tiger fan. He reached out to the community as a whole, which was smart. As would be for any coach in a city that has a wide and diverse set of college loyalties. Atlanta is a city that comes to mind that is similar.

That said, I won't ever forget Fuente's introductory presser. A media person asks him what makes he thinks he can do what other coaches haven't done and Justin said something like "because that's who I am"

I think Fuente was the perfect hire to build a program @ Memphis and Norvell was the perfect hire to take that program to the next level. I’m not sure either would have had the same level of success doing what the other did.

I'll never forget him getting the unsportsmanlike penalty against Middle Tennessee. We got jobbed on the time out and he showed me he was all in. Man he was pissed.

Norvell didn't try to take down the program on his way out the door.

I was waiting for someone to say this. I'm pretty sure no one is mad at Cal for leaving....coaches leave for bigger jobs all the time, that's the business. It's the conniving way he did it, some of you will never get it.

Unfortunately I'm not sure Florida State and their fans will give him that time.

They'll most likely give him a pass on this season due to COVID, but he'll be gone in in 4 seasons if he doesn't get the results they want.

Less than that probably.
