UTSA opens our home schedule against SFA this weekend, so there's definitely at least one more FCS game. UTEP beat them 24-14 in week one, so I'll be worried if we don't win that one convincingly.

UTEP also plays Abilene Christian so there will likely be the FCS loss.
UTEP will likely beat ACU. ACU lost a lot of experience from their 2019 team.
Without even seeing ACU’s roster, I’d take their talent over UTEP’s, just slightly. Give the Miners home-field and call it a toss-up.

UTEP’s edge — and it’s actually a big one — is they have played twice already, but it’s the first game for the Wildcats. If the Miners are awake and haven’t given up on their system, that should be enough.

That's exactly what we did. ACU's starting QB transferred to Louisiana Tech and will be our QB1 or QB2. So they will be breaking in a new QB vs UTEP.

You can go ahead and put the league down for at least two more OOC losses (assuming we get through the season). MT plays Troy twice and there is a very, very good chance MT goes 0-10 this year.

That is horrible to look at. I am sure ODU made it lot worse than it should be but who lost to an FCS team in the last couple of years?

04-cheers I didn't expect that for sure. I should start paying more attention to the conference OOC schedules.

Some of these CUSA programs play well against other CUSA programs, but just don't bother to show up at all for OOC games. That needs to be corrected. Maybe CUSA can tie some bowl priorities for CUSA programs to OOC wins?

That's not a bad idea if we manage to cook that complex formula to account for various factors properly to give that extra motivation for teams that are hoping for a bowl bid but what about teams that are "meh we aren't getting to any of these anyway". I guess no one can motivate those folks afterall.

2014:
Bethune-Cookman 14, @FIU 12
Northwestern State 30, @Louisiana Tech 27

2015:
Portland State 66, @North Texas 7 (largest margin-of-defeat any FBS/I-A team has suffered against an FCS/I-AA opponent since the classifications were created in 1978)

2016:
————-

2017:
North Carolina A&T 35, @Charlotte 31

2018:
Northern Arizona 30, @UTEP 10
Maine 31, @Western Kentucky 28

2019:

WTF we as a conference have at least an FCS loss every season with the exception of 2016 that is just ****** up and add to that none of these look like top FCS seems make its that much worse. My god we need to get better and that definitely applies to all our teams.

We also need to start winning more P5 games. And we, FAU, are partially at fault for this. We lost our games and we did not schedule any winnable P5 games lately, either.
