pathetic...
Lets hope UTSA can hang on at Texas State.
Don't look now...getting tight
I'm watching. Good thing Texas State didn't have their starting QB today.
They may have a QB battle on their hands now. Two games for Texas State, and two starters.
McBride vs. SMU
Passer Rating - 114.5
Completed 21-39 for 227 yards (54%)
2 TD's and 1 Int.
10 rushes for 3 yards
Vitt vs. UTSA
Passer Rating - 160.7
Completed 26-40 for 346 yards (65%)
4 TD's and 2 Int.
11 rushes for 4 yards
And no, SMU's defense isn't really any better than UTSA's. Based on last year's stats...
SMU Defense
Average total yards per game - 439
Average passing yards per game - 285
Average points per game - 32
UTSA Defense
Average total yards per game - 429
Average passing yards per game - 231
Average points per game - 34
I get that the AAC is a better conference than ours, but we're not talking P5/G5 here, even if they do wanna call themselves the P6. Point is, there really isn't that big a difference between SMU's defense and UTSA's, at least not last year.
