Well thank Gawd we play the Belt and FCS!

CUSA sucks.

Win your games and quit being a pu5513 LOL

Congrats to the Herd...you are the tallest midget in the room.

CUSA sucks.

Overall, C-USA is trash this season. But, I don't think that diminishes what Marshall is doing. The Herd are a very good team.

That said, what I wouldn't give for a "do over" of the Marshall and UTSA games. I honestly believe LA Tech solved their biggest problem yesterday by putting Allen in at QB1, and him being very successful. Unfortunately, it took our very hardheaded head coach 7 games to figure it out.

That little garbage time push in our matchup was not nearly enough to show that La Tech would have been competitive against Marshall.

The cool thing is, if UAB loses one more game, y'all could actually make it to the CUSA championship to play *FAU.

You misunderstood my point. I was referring to LA Tech QB2 Aaron Allen getting half of the playing time in the 2nd half of Tech's game against UAB. In that game, Aaron rolled 'em up and smoked 'em (probably a bad metaphor, HAHA), which brought LA Tech back from a 13-point deficit to an ultimate victory.

Yeah, Allen did play one drive (I believe) against Marshall, and he drove Tech the length of the field for a TD in that one too. But I'm not counting that one, because I agree that it was a "garbage time" score.

Wow, can't wait to see him throw it up to Hardy... oh..

Well, at lease you can always hand it off to Henderson... oh

Well, at least you now have an offensive lineeeeeeeeeee

Y'all should just move on to basketball season. You're not close.

Well, congratulations. Your hindsight is almost as good as everyone else's.

But yeah, I do think LA Tech's 2020 football season is over. After not playing 3 straight weeks, and losing some quality players who chose to "opt out" (that's what the "everyone gets a trophy" generation calls QUITTING on your teammates) of the 2020 season, why would Tech even bother to play two more road games against FIU & UNT.

Oh, I want 'em to play, but Skip Holtz is much more interested in risk avoidance. If his season ends right now at 4-3, he'll consider that a victory.

Hardy is a loss but Henderson wasn't very good this year and already lost his starting spot to Tucker at RB but I kind of agree - is our season over now?

LA Tech needs UNT to beat UTSA this Saturday (Nov 28th), and either USM or Rice to beat UAB over the next 2 weeks. If those two things happen --and Tech beats FIU & UNT-- then LA Tech will win the WEST.

Oh! is that all that has to happen? 04-jawdrop

- UNT is certainly capable of beating UTSA.
- Rice is capable of beating UAB
- USM is one of UAB's chief rivals, so anything can happen.

BTW, UTSA is having one of those years when they keep barley winning games. They roared back from a 13-point deficit in the 4th Qtr of our game to beat LA Tech by 1 point. They beat USM by 3 pts yesterday, they beat Middle Tennessee by 2 pts, and they beat TX State in OT.

Side Note: I remember telling Side Show Joe back in 2017 that his UNT Mean Green were having a particularly "lucky" year that season, when UNT won almost all of their close games. UNT beat LA Tech by 1 pt, Army by 3, UAB by 3, UTSA by 3 and ODU by 7 that season. I told SSJ he shouldn't expect those kind of results every year because most teams just can't win all their close games like that. IMO, that was a really remarkable run for UNT.

Well, sure enough, the next season (2018) UNT lost about half of their close games (LA Tech by 2, ODU by 3 & USB by 8) and won the other half (UTEP, UTSA and FAU, all by 3 points). This was a much more normalized result.

FAU is getting some votes in the AP poll. Not very significant but still nice, given that we have three games scheduled ahead of us.

You are assuming that Marshall's players have not gotten better as the season has progressed. Our Freshman QB has matured a lot since the La Tech game and so has the entire team.
