Congrats to a great day everyone. Army was tough and we have had a bad run of luck so far. Covid outbreak and hurricane heavily limited us and Army was not the team to play after only 2 pad practices in a long time. Hopefully we will get better. Good job ULL and Arkansas St. and congrats to the other winners.

Watching all the Sun Belt games today I can say that this is the best start that I can remember and I believe that winning the conference is going to be tough for anyone this year. There are no gimme games. Proud of you guys.

Do you think we will have 2 SBC teams ranked after this weekend? If so will they rank Louisiana above App State? I think they will.

Some may take this as a homer opinion, but the Cajun’s win today is a lot more impressive than App’s. UL has ground to make up on App to be able to pass them in the rankings, so not sure if that will happen. I’m thinking the two teams will be close in the rankings if both keep winning going into the matchup in October.

Totally agree. I don’t have an issue with Louisiana being higher ranked. I guess if both App and UL get ranked it would be the first time you have 2 SBC teams ranked in the same week right?

As charter members of SBC football, the best thing that has happened to this conference was when WKU, UNT, MT, F_U schools left for the "higher profile" conference. This conference is definitely now firmly entrenched as one of the top 2-3 conferences in the Group of 5. The scary thing is the SBC gets better every year. We have literally left C-USA and the MAC in the dust. Lookout MWC and AAC, the Belt is coming up fast!

BTW, To even think that the SBC could possibly have 2 ranked teams a few years back would have made you seem crazy.. but it could happen this week. I hope it does!

I cringe every time they start talking reshuffling teams with CUSA. Why?!? To save a few bucks in travel?

It's going to be a tough fight to win the Sunbelt, not going to be an easy win. Coastal is beating up Kansas, Texas State and South Alabama are improving. Don't sleep on any game.
