That game was too late in my opinion, why not have a 5 or 6pm est kickoff. It’s a holiday no reason to make it late

I don't think that was the problem, College FB like the NFL, NBA, and Base ball is pushing the political crap. People watch as an escape, not to be preached to.

Prime time is prime time...but yeah 7 pm start on a holiday (but the next day isnt a holiday) seems sensible.
I took the Tuesday off when the time was announced. If its 10 pm and an absolite whuppin at the half a whole lot of America is turning that game off.
(Obtw, the whuppin aspect far more impactful than "politics")

This is probably true, I tuned out for some time at least 3-4 times for each of the College football game that I watched.

Haven't watched a single Professional sporting event, other than a FOX Pregame Baseball show and they talked more about politics and social issues than baseball and sports and then I changed channel.

Just my personal experience.

For me sports are an escape from political stuff.
I can’t watch it when they get into politics.

With all that is going on, it could also mean sports just isn't that important this year.

navy/byu was the only game this year where a p5/aac team has gone into a game that wasnt expeced to be a blow out and it turned out to be a blowout'

Double Ditto. Last thing I need is some jacka$$ sports commentator preaching to me about politics and healthcare and all the other bull****. I literally watched half of the Memphis game only. Haven't watched a Cubs game this year, No NBA games, barely watched the Bears game, and so on.

I just heard a segment on Fox talking about why are these people on ESPN preaching to us about allowing sports to be played. Makes no sense. They're dying on the vine because of this pandemic. Politics trumps even their own livelihood. It boggles the mind.
