Baylor had too many positives at certain positions.

Houston may win the national championship for most opponents cancelling on them. Rice, , didn't Memphis?
The worst part is that it isn’t even positives. It is from contact tracing protocols. Some of the players that are out have tested negative multiple times in the past two weeks, but contact tracing requires them to be out for 14 days.

I think 14 days is too long.

14 days is when the first signs of the virus to hit, The virus incubrates for that long.

I was at the UAB game 2 Thursday’s ago where a bunch of people didn’t wear masks. Am I in the clear?

The 14 days is misleading. Most people with virus show symptoms within 5-7 days after exposure. That is going to be true for the vast majority that gets the virus. However, it is true that the virus CAN incubate for up to 14 days and that it does frequently enough that we can be 100% certain you’re clear, even if you are negative, until after that time has passed.

This is why you can have a player get sick, test positive, recover and be playing sooner than the people he was around who are negative but in quarantine.

Memphis at UTSA for Friday 9/25 is cancelled, but replaced by Middle Tennessee at UTSA same night. Still a blue team from Tennessee.

Memphis adds everyone's 2nd favorite purple FCS team from the Southland Conference, Stone Cold Stephen F. Austin, for November 21.

So, if a player can be quarantined because contract tracing indicates he was exposed to someone with the virus, what happens when a coach tests positive? Like FSU's Mike Norvell. Shouldn't that send a lot of Seminole players to the sidelines?
