last year with southwest it was out of OIA and this year with allegiant it's sanford. and yeah both airports are about 25 mins from UCF.

Sanford is much easier to get and out of. Sanford is like a mile closer and traffic is easier. On paper its similar but for those who live in Oviedo and travel its Sanford all the time.
what do you mean by that? if someone lives in oviedo and travels all the time, i doubt it's only on airlines like allegiant. OIA is more crowded for a reason.

Regardless of airline, a flight from Sanford will be easier in/out and home. I said Oviedo bc I used to live there and it's close to UCF. The traffic going to Sanford is much less congested. If you have a choice btw the two, you fly out of Sanford.
but the vast majority of frequent fliers don't have that choice. delta, american, southwest, united, jetblue, alaska and then you have your international carriers which are all out of MCO.

Can't compare then since one is not an option.

Didn’t mean to turn this into a Sanford vs MCO pissing match. Yikes.

Never roll over.

That happened in the 2nd qrt. Player safety at some point instead of someone’s ego.

Dude these are warriors who've spent months hitting sled, the weight room, and attacking each meal like it's their last. "Safety" would be not playing the game. The entire objective is to put as many points on the board as you can...something, something, ego driven competition...blah blah.

Yeah I don’t buy it. If we’d have kept our starters in and ran up 70 you’d likely be upset. I wouldn’t use the warriors excuse. I’d say our coach was being a dick. Being warriors is a made up excuse the game was over by multiple scores and ran over 4 hours. I get you don’t want to hear it but that’s the truth. Kicking an onside even if recovered wouldn’t amount to anything other than maybe a high five followed by a massive loss.

Oh please child, your hubris has you posting like a Cincy fan. 07-coffee3

Hubris? Game is way out of reach. Kick the onside in 2 or 3rd qrtr. How would you feel if we kept our 1st team out there and were calling aggressive the whole game. You guys scored the garbage time td, great. You’ve been kicking deep the entire game. That was a pure ego move with the onside late.
Good lord why does it matter? They weren’t going to win regardless...

Yeah that’s my point

My understanding was that coach thought it was a good way to run it outside of practice at game speed. Now we have some tape to work on.

We bid the charters every year. We've used Allegiant before. We've also had AirTran, JetBlue, and Southwest. I think one year we also used one of the charter airlines based at MCO.

Not really much difference between Allegiant and Southwest in terms of player comfort on the flight. And things that matter to passengers don't really matter on a charter (buy-on-board vs free snacks, etc.).

Are they flying out of Sanford instead of MCO? It is probably easier in and out and not too much difference in time to get there.

Very rare for us to charter from Orlando instead of Sanford. In the past, the AirTran (RIP, **** you Southwest) and JetBlue charters have been from Sanford despite both having large operations at MCO. I'd imagine there was a nice cost savings involve for Southwest not ferrying the plane to Sanford. Sanford is definitely preferred by UCF. The only thing better would be being able to use Orlando Executive, but the runway is insufficient for a 737/A320 sized plane.

OT. You mention Orlando Executive Airport. Worked there at night for a few weeks PT and my one memory was watching professional wrestlers arriving one night. It was memorable because I always thought of it as a fake sport, but watching them walk across from the plane, most were limping, I gained a respect for the athletes of the sport, or show, however you look at it. .

As far as UCF, Sanford Int. is so much better.

Coach Houston (in his GA State press conference) has been talking about how he thinks UCF is better this year than last year, especially in the secondary. Said #31 for UCF was a "special player."
