What if?
I have been trying to listen to as many people as possible on all sides - meaning Right left and center and I am starting to feel pretty strongly that Biden is going to win this thing.

One of the most sensible and fully explained opinions I heard was that Trump won because people voted against Hillary. That is a fairly open ended statement, but further discussion backed those theories up pretty succinctly.

So What If Joe B wins? Your political leaning doesn't matter to answer the question because it has nothing to do with your vote. Let's say he wins?

- Does the media fawn all over him and excuse everything?
- Does the media now turn on him and treat him similarly to DJT?
- Does the social unrest today dissipate or at the very least simmer down?
-How does JB handle the economy and more importantly the debts incurred by Covid? This covid thing is making welfare, Social Security and medicaid look like a $20 bill instead of the Trillion dollar bill it was perceived to be only 12 months ago....
- What happens to Barr and his ongoing investigations?
- What happens to the changes to the Tax code that Trump pushed through?
- What happens with China?
- What happens to illegal immigration and illegal immigrants?

There are hundreds more questions.....

People were so sure 4 years ago that HRC was going to win, that nobody was really asking what happens if she doesn't. I am asking now - What happens of DJT doesn't win?

I fully expect AOC to start bitching and screaming about how bad Joe is the moment she thinks he's going to lose, simply to be saying "I told you we needed a more progressive candidate." Of course, she will be meaning herself in 4 years.

Lot's to break down. I'll try to be as balanced as I realistically see things...- Does the media fawn all over him and excuse everything?
- Does the media now turn on him and treat him similarly to DJT?
Never. We've seen for decades that a Dem president gets much better treatment from the media. Obviously, conservative media will vilify him but the MSM is dominated by left-learning media.
- Does the social unrest today dissipate or at the very least simmer down?
It will simmer down. It's not going away. Marches will continue, although less as often but the violence and rioting will subside.
-How does JB handle the economy and more importantly the debts incurred by Covid?
This covid thing is making welfare, Social Security and medicaid look like a $20 bill instead of the Trillion dollar bill it was perceived to be only 12 months ago....
Regardless who wins, the purse is still controlled by the House. JB winning isn't enough. If the Senate flips, that changes everything. The same thing should DJT win and the House flipped. If the House and Senate stay the same, not much will change from a legislative budget standpoint. However, executive orders will be the name of the game. That's how DJT has accomplished numerous things during his 3 1/2 years.
- What happens to Barr and his ongoing investigations?
All goes away. New leaders will then open numerous investigations of Trump and any other Republican leaders, especially those who may run in 2024.
- What happens to the changes to the Tax code that Trump pushed through?
It'll be "tweaked" ever so slightly but the messaging will be JB saved the middle class.
- What happens with China?
We return to lopsided trade deals. That's a given.
- What happens to illegal immigration and illegal immigrants?
Nothing. The wall construction stops but talk of illegal immigration doesn't sell unless it's an election year for Democrats. JB will wait until his 4th year to talk about reform.

RE: What if?
- Does the media fawn all over him and excuse everything? yes, yes they do.
- Does the media now turn on him and treat him similarly to DJT? no. see above
- Does the social unrest today dissipate or at the very least simmer down? simmers down but not much. the far left will be granted much more of what they want, encouraging them to act out more.
-How does JB handle the economy and more importantly the debts incurred by Covid? This covid thing is making welfare, Social Security and medicaid look like a $20 bill instead of the Trillion dollar bill it was perceived to be only 12 months ago
Huge Federal spending ( even more than now ) requiring 30% tax increases across the board. Govt revenues and spending go to 30% of GDP in 4 years.
- What happens to Barr and his ongoing investigations? they disappear
- What happens to the changes to the Tax code that Trump pushed through? It is reversed, and then some
- What happens with China? Nothing, China was more of a Clinton thing I believe, although our relationships with them probably get fuzzier.
- What happens to illegal immigration and illegal immigrants? illegals get a path to citizenship, the borders are open.

yes, that's all a worst case scenario, but i believe it. We have been on a path to a European socialism nanny state for decades, and it comes faster if JB wins.

For the record. I believe JT wins in a blowout.

Guessing about Joe is a waste of time. If he wins he doesn’t hold the position for a year. You should ask how President Harris will be treated and act, but we all already know the answers.
