Arkansas St. is playing right now and is OK, so clearly playing football is not the issue here.
So is this story true or not?

Memphis should be back to full strength by next week.
Still think that after every home game the player can walk back to campus in single file with 6" spacing... NO BUSES.
Arky State just upset Kansas State on the road, 35-31, scoring the winning TD with 35 seconds to go, and swapping QBs for every possession.
Guess they're a pretty good team, lol.

Our beat writer apparently doesn't understand the difference between canceled and postponed, but the game is postponed until later, probably December.

OK, here's my question on every story like this.
How many of these positive test guys are actually SICK?

So far, all I'm hearing is nobody has symptoms. Not one out of maybe 40 between the positive tests (10-20) and the others who were around them.

Problem is once you get even 3 or 4 testing positive, and you do contact tracing, There will be almost no way to play the next game.

Yeah, then maybe I'll catch the non-sick sickness.
Given that it only affects the old and the weak, you should probably stay away.

Do you have a link to those stats? It's fine to have that opinion, but if you're going to quote stats, you should have the supporting data at hand.
The only football player I'm aware of was the one who died a couple of weeks ago. It was first reported as a Covid death, then later corrected to unknown. Not to mention, his team isn't playing this year.
As for 500,000 children being infected, are you talking in the world, or in the US? And how many of those died, or even caused others to die?
IIRC, the death rate for the flu is greater in the young age brackets than is Covid, which nobody can yet explain.

College football player dies of COVID:

Also, for the "more people die from the flu crowd"
Look, I get that people are unhappy with the fact that things aren't back to normal (and, by the way, go back and check out all of the "Anti-Mask League stuff from 1918 and how it caused the Spanish flu to wreak havoc well beyond what it could have for the stupidity of the people who don't want to wear masks), but if you're going to try to argue, at least don't make up wildly inaccurate crap like "...it only affects the old and the weak." This whole country is going to hell in a handcart because people now believe in nothing but conspiracy theories, fake news and alternative facts.

Read the first paragraph in your own link:
Jamain Stephens, a football player at California University of Pennsylvania and the son of a former Steelers first round-draft pick, has died at the age of 20 of what was initially described as COVID-19 complications but was later said to be unconfirmed.
Also, you said college football player s died. So you're wrong twice.
Now read a line from your second link:
Children were 0%-0.3% of all COVID-19 deaths, and 18 states reported zero child deaths
All I said was the flu is worse on kids than is Covid. It is. I didn't say it was okay, just not as bad as the flu. So you're wrong a third time. As is your stupid tweet whcih proves nothing, other than you're still wrong.
Look, I actually have sympathy for your position, but if you're going to lecture people for not agreeing with you, then you better have "real" facts to back it up. You misread everything you quoted, yet you are the one who is holier than thou about your opinion.

So are you trying to say you agree with the original thesis that "...it only affects the old and the weak" based on the fact that I used a plural for one portion of my attempt at refuting the approach and that the one player who died (and was clearly COVID positive and thus was undoubtedly "affected" by it even though he was neither old nor weak)? I didn't check my post for grammar, I apologize for using the plural. Didn't intentionally mean to "mislead." Doesn't dismiss how wrong the original statement was, and attempting to undermine the whole argument because of it is pretty freaking disingenuous.
