24-6 with 11:33 to go

UNC didnt wake up. SU defense played well for 3 qtrs and got spent because the [SU] offense cant sustain drives. A total of 21 yards near the end of the second half. I believe SU had the ball less than 4 minutes in the second half so far. Every possession since the middle of the 3rd qtr has been 3 and out. No defense can keep up with that Devito still making bad decisions.

^^^ THIS ^^^ is 100% the problem. Offensive guru Dino Babers needs to fix the offense.

Well I hope he does it after week 3...

Underthrow by nearly 10 yards into two deep safety with man help. Yeah, he's a true freshman.

Not nearly as disappointed by the turnover as the soft defense thereafter.

Exclamation RE: Week 2 Football Thread
That Notre Dame TE #87 Michael Mayer (5-star Freshman from Independence, KY) really looks impressive.

Also impressed to see most fans in Notre Dame Stadium wearing a mask.

BTW, score is now Duke 13, Notre Dame 27

Pitt is blowing out Austin Peay (as expected).

Switching to GT at FSU which just resumed.

RE: Week 2 Football Thread
After FSU jumped out to an 10-0 lead, GT moved the ball down the field, had a red zone penalty, ended up attempting a FG from the 5-yard line... it was blocked by FSU!

Still GT 0 at FSU 10

Dont worry, it wont be. DeVito still making bad plays and hanging onto ball too long. I had to leave with 8 minutes remaining in the fourth but at that point didnt throw an int. Just made bad play after bad play. The Oline played much better this game than at the start of the season last year. Still allowed a lot of actual sacks.

Tre Swilling and Antonneus Clayton are not playing. No reason given. No prior notice given. They're the two best players on the roster.

Your defense should sue for lack of support. And your QB has no field vision. He has good wheels but sees nothing in his periphery.

How can you fix a talent deficiency problem, have you seen SU recruiting. Even with a 10 win season talent is not coming up to Syracuse.

Halftime adjustment list:
- Send the QB to an optometrist.
- Replace the entire left side of the kicking unit line. I don't really care who with. OL/DL/fans from the stands ... whoever.
- Find out why Tre Swilling and Antonneus Clayton aren't playing.

Don't wanna see another place kick or field goal all game. Go for two go for it on 4th. Period. Who is special teams coordinator? Have they instructed the left side of the line that they're allowed to block?

I see the ACC has gone back to the 2018 rules and are going to allow offensive lines to mug our DL once again.

There's a lot to build on. But the defense seems to be completely overhauled ahead of schedule.

I am ecstatic. 3 points after halftime for FSU.
Defense gets credit for the final score too.
