ECU football practice reports
These are always great. I really like Mike Houston. I think it’s only a matter of time before we’re back to our winning ways.

I think we already have the skill players to compete, but we have been lacking in size and that has hurt us tremendously. If Houston can recruit and develop some big 'ole boys we'll be back in the hunt for championships.

Yeah you are right about that. Some of the teams looked noticeably bigger. Cincy looked huge. Temple looked beefier too. I think he is getting them there. Sounds like he is adding a lot of depth too. As Coach Harrell put it at one point with his defensive scheme and depth. He said he runs a lot of players in and out constantly. He went on to say a fresher #2 is better than a spent #1 late in the game. That’s what we had last year. We had some decent players on the D-Line, but literally nothing behind them. I am excited about the 3-4 multiple defense Harrell has implemented. I think next year is going to be a big year for us. And I believe the team is going to get better and better as this year goes.

Thanks! Some highlights from today’s scrimmage.
Hopefully something from the coach a little later.

RE: ECU football practice reports
I don’t know of another time in recent memory when we’ve had so much quality depth all over the field. And now Taji Hudson is moving to wide receiver. We’re loaded on both sides of the ball, just lacking the experience, especially on the defensive side. Very excited about what the future brings.

When you listen to this and try to fill in the blanks, it sounds like Holton may be mixed into the Covid situation. I hope that’s not true. I guess we’ll find out more maybe today or tomorrow.

ECU Practice Report from yesterday.

Mike Houston seems upbeat and enthusiastic about the direction the team is going. I can’t help but to trust his enthusiasm more so than the previous staff. We may not see a win tonight, but I feel like it we be a bit closer than the spread suggests. Looking forward to some Friday night Pirate ?‍☠️ football.
