Seems like the first good matchup of the season.

Amazing BYU committed to a season as an Independent. Hope they can pull it off. Would be an outstanding story, among many, this college football season.

This is a great matchup to end the Labor Day Holiday weekend. Great visibility for these two programs in a prime time slot.

Navy’s stadium does a good job of making almost all seats chairback.

If this game had been played in Provo, kickoff temperature would’ve been 91. Tomorrow, it’s supposed to be 37.

This is the worst butt whipping I've seen the offensive and defensive lines take at a U.S. Military Academy in a long long time. B.Y.U. is bigger, stronger, and playing technique more cleanly and they are dominating both sides of the line of scrimmage.

Navy will be fortunate if B.Y.U. calls off the dogs by the end of the 3rd quarter.

3:30 PM ABC game (GT @ FSU) will probably be pretty good - GT always plays FSU tough - but outside of that, lots of touchdown derby stuff...

IIRC, this game was supposed to be the biggest test on BYU's patchwork eight game schedule. So what do the bowls do about an 8-0 BYU?

IIRC, this game was supposed to be the biggest test on BYU's patchwork eight game schedule. So what do the bowls do about an 8-0 BYU?

All they can do is run up every score and hope. I still think they should have been the 11th team in the Big 12 this year so that they all had a closed 10 game schedule.

Face it Quo they won't have any good wins, the SOS will be weak, and they may not get a test until they get a NY6 bowl, which is the best they'll probably do.

I think an 8-0 BYU would kill for an NY6 bowl. But even without B1G and PAC teams, that will be a tough nut to crack. The schedule will be very bad.

This is one you have to be careful with as a first game. Is BYU that good, Navy that bad, or somewhere in between? BYU still has to play Army and Houston on the road. Army looked pretty good over the weekend.

Yes, an 8-0 BYU is highly speculative. But if ....

FWIW, i expect BYU to crush Army. They have the experience vs the triple option.
