I watched some of the game ... boy the Rockets had all kinds of chances to win that one and just kept making mistakes at critical times. Unfortunate.

The thing that hit me about though is ... why wasn't the UT defense of the early 2010s much better. That 2012 defense was littered with future pros:

Elliott - NFL
Fatinikun - NFL
Robinson - CFL + IFL championship
Norrils - NFL camps + AFL championship
Sylvestre - NFL and CFL camps, multiple years
Madison - NFL & CFL camps
Molls - CFL camps, but hampered by injuries I think
and Hester was sitting our his redshirt year.
