Who knows if USA is going to be damn good this year and this loss looks way better as the season goes on.

There is no way USM is just going to get their doors blown off by CUSA this year especially not North Texas.

South Alabama is a really unpredictable team. They always have at least 1 game a year where they look like ranked G5 and others like a bottom 10. One time they were double digit favorites over us and we beat them 52-0.

Basically a week 1 game against an unpredictable team in an unpredictable season.

So, you think that South will always be an unpredictable team? Well, that was then and this is now. We'll see how things shake out this year.

Seriously?

It's all over Twitter. Nothing official yet, but plenty of local reputable sources.

So now, the Mustard Buzzards will circle the wagons and play way over their heads the next game or two...of course.

Always. USM is firing their head coach right before their Super Bowl. Again.

S.Miss could have had Art Briles for $175,000, two years ago. They had him signed upon the contract being approved. The S. Miss president didnt just say no but hell no.

That train has left the station and without S. Miss. If not for the S. Miss president Hop would be a lot better coach, today. I think he has good enough sense to get out of the way of one of the best offensive mind in college football. Hop is a good defensive coach.

Honestly if the Briles hire had been made and he was still at S. Miss. The opinion of Jay Hopson by S. Miss fans would be a lot different, today.

I have a lot of respect for Hopson as he has a tiny recruiting budget, a small market, and a President who stopped him from hiring Art Briles...dude's fighting with a hand tied behind his back.

Our opinion of Hopson is based upon his track record of being head coach for over 4 years at our University, not upon an assistant coach he did not hire. Your premise is ridiculous. Im sure Hopson would have been a better head coach with Saban as DC and Urban Meyers as OC, too.

Hes a nice guy but bad HC, any way you slice it. If you like him so much, he should be available soon.

Anybody that hires Art Briles deserves the NCAA sanctions that will follow.
