I am way too excited for the start of the season for how bad the Bobcats have been the last five years but this is peak optimism time.

The Bobcats host the Mustangs who have a 2-0 lead in the all time series. The Bobcats lost last year to a very good SMU team. The game was close at halftime thanks to our defense.

The offense has to be better this year. McBride is the new QB. Hopefully, he will have more time in the pocket than the QBs have had recently.

I hope the Bobcats cause the upset but SMU is heavily favored. SMU has a fantastic QB and offense.

Game is at 3:30 CT on ESPN.

Looks like we have 4 players out in quarantine following contact tracing. The backup QB (Vitt), a DB, and two TEs. No TEs on the 2-deep released today.

This is the least excited going into opening weekend I've ever been in 15 years. Not too sure why to be honest.

I plan to be one of the 7k-ish allowed in the stadium. Hopefully I start to get excited over the next two days as I make my way down to SM.

I am excited but haven't bee really excited since maybe 2015. There was a year I thought maybe EW would do decent but for the most part it is hard to get excited knowing 4-5 wins is a "peak".

Shoot, I was pretty excited after that Ohio game in Withers first year. You could tell the season wasnt gonna be great but dang was that a heck of a season opening win.

Alright Bobcats, USA gave you the blueprint, shock the Stangs.

Texas State being good would be bad for the rest of us. But also good because it’ll elevate the conference. I’m waiting for the breakout moment to happen. Would love to see them snipe an AAC team.

SMU just lost their game next week because TCU spiked cases.

McBride has a nice quick release and puts some mustard on it. He's also going to be killed by his offensive line.
