Ernie Kent in Arabia
Ernie Kent has not been shy about taking on some of the more daunting coaching posts around. However, none of them compared with his first job:

"I worked seven years in Saudi Arabia coaching and my paycheck was on one side of the table and my passport on the other, and they said to me, 'You can't leave and you won't get paid if you don't win.' I think I've handled pressure. I would go to the games and there would be a young Saudi with a submachine gun outside the game. That's pressure. This, this is just basketball."

I think an assistant coach at Little Rock under Ron Kestenbaum went to coach in Saudi Arabia after he left Little Rock. I can picture his face but having a senior moment on his name. I bet MJS knows!

Don't remember that, but Jim Calvin, assistant under Mike Newell coached in Kuwait.

That’s who I was thinking of. Thanks, I knew I could count on you!
