Interesting article from Moscow Times, speculating about Russia's role in Libya. And it has this:

"...The main force behind the new ceasefire was the United States, even though it was just a few months ago that Russia and Turkey appeared to be in control of the peace process. Washington’s successful mediation has led many to ask whether Moscow has lost the initiative in Libya and is at risk of squandering the gains it has made there in recent years...."

Now I used to regularly read the Moscow Times. It was an independent English language Russian paper. But then 5 or 6 years ago, it was clear that the government had muffled its independence. That is what makes this article so interesting. It is not complementary of Russia and is complementary of the US (now-not in 2011).

May as well...last administration ****** those people over royally.
