I'm 100% certain I had this problem before, but I can't find the solution.

I get a blank message box in my feed instead of embedded twitter.

There was a setting somewhere in the board options or my browser that fixed it.

Anyone remember?

Why do such archaic message boards still exist anyway???? The lack of a clear way to embed social media posts is ridiculous in 2021.

There is no button for inserting a Twitter link. I usually start with the "quote" button, paste the URL, and close with the "quote" button. Then replace the word "quote" with "twitter" inside the brackets. If your URL is copied from a mobile device you will need to delete "mobile." before the word "twitter" in the URL, including the dot. I usually click the "Preview Post" button before posting to see if I've got it right.

Here's an example of one that works...

and one that doesn't.

The easiest way to see how they are formatted is to press the "REPLY" button under this post. Notice the word "mobile" followed by the dot in the bad example.

The BBS, bulletin board system, really is archaic and predates the internet. Being a history buff, I can dig it. I hope this helps.

lol, from my viewpoint, neither work. I still can't see an embedded tweet, only a blank box. No idea how to fix it. Oh well.....
