I’m a weather nerd and a retired NWS meteorologist. The football stadium’s proximity to the Ohio River is likely a difference maker regarding the local weather. The stadium is affected by the microclimate of the Ohio River, which generally means cooler and more humid during the day. The temperature Saturday was around 40, with the wind out of the west or southwest. The wind was blowing parallel to the Ohio River and picking up moisture. Furthermore, it was a cross wind at the stadium, which likely caused some swirling winds in the stadium. It was 10-15 degrees warmer in Birmingham Saturday afternoon.

Hello fellow meteorologist/blazer fan!!!

Hello back at you, Rob. Technically I’m just an old man now, who enjoys babysitting his grandchildren. Hope all is well with you.

Hello fellow meteorologist/blazer fan!!!

Glad to know that we have a couple weather folks we can go to if needed now 04-cheers

Back in the day (2000ish) Rob was always spot on with game day forecasts.

Cheers to that! 04-cheers

What I gather from the podcast is that everyone is disappointed.

I like the podcast and listen every week. Sorry for my snarky comment. I think the coaching staff should have their feet put to the fire after this game, though.

Twitter is Twitter, I personally don't follow any UAB coaches or UAB Athletics on Twitter because it can become contentious and out right disrespectful regarding comments. I choose to vent on BlazerTalk.

I’m sorry, this is just my opinion, but the last podcast was just another fluff piece for Coach Clark. No one in this program or associated with the program will put him under any scrutiny or ask any tough questions… It’s pretty ridiculous

This episode was a tough one to do for me but I don’t think the episode was just a fluff piece for Clark. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion and I definitely respect yours and just want to say thanks for listening to us each and every week. Yesterday sucked and there’s no way around it.

Make sure to give our UTEP preview a listen. We dropped it early to hopefully give everyone time to listen while traveling today and tomorrow. Go blazers!

RE: Blazer Victory Podcast with Steve Irvine and John Duncan
1) Thank you so much for doing the podcast, I listen to it every week on youtube.

2) Next season might be good if you could find a friend to join you as the secondary host and then bring Steve on for extended recap/interview each week. I really appreciate what he brings to the table but he's too close to the program to give an objective opinion. Every week John will try to lightly criticize something and Steve shuts it down. Listening to his diatribe during the UTEP recap when he lashed out at the fans regarding penalties was pretty frustrating.

3) I know the pod is football focused, zero problem with that, but I would appreciate spending 15-30 seconds on how the other programs are doing. Or adding in a few seconds to talk about football/basketball recruiting.

Listen to me or not, doesn't matter, I'll still be listening each week.

Yes he should be good to play 04-cheers he won’t be 100% so I don’t know if he can get 20+ carries but we’ll see. Hope he can because we’ll need him to have a good day.

Thanks for the feedback and for listening to us. I can tell you that we’re doing a basketball preview for the WVU game next week 04-cheers
