College students truly have little personal risk and I have serious reservations about depriving them of a quality in-person education and some of the best times of their lives. In fact infections of a campus would accelerate "herd immunity".

That said, University gatherings present an undeniable opportunity for exponential spreading of the virus. These students, however, are not in a bubble, visiting nearby businesses and communities and thus presenting spread possibilities is indeed a reality.

The businesses need to maintain their standards constant cleaning, asking customers to wear masks
social distance, limit the # of customers. Not admit individual who are showing signs of illness. Offer
online/phone shopping with curb pickup/delivery etc. Haven't met anybody yet that thought they picked up covid grocery shopping or places like McDonalds.

For some EMU students in person learning was delayed until after Labor Day. They did not want students on campus leaving for the holiday and then coming back.
