New Novel
Hi Broncos.

If you're looking for some reading material, my novel is out and is the #1 New Release for Drama on Amazon. Western Michigan is mentioned on several occasions. Can't help it. I'm always a Bronco.

Train Tracks follows the emotional turmoil of two, young people, Billy and Grace. They emerge from opposite social structures and, like all young people, try to navigate the unpredictable stresses of growing up. Their lives are drawn together through an unlikely set of circumstances. The relationship is torn apart by an unexpected event that shreds their trust and exposes the dark side in each of them. Their worlds spiral out of control.

The reader is taken on an emotional journey that rattles him/her into wanting to reach into the pages and shake the characters to their senses, to seek answers, and to calm their chaos. The story takes place in the south but could be a scenario in any region, any state, any city or any home where misunderstanding, doubt, and fear lurk in the shadows of people’s minds.

This book is a page-turner with stories within a story. Common sense is sometimes abandoned when the heart is obliterated by a loved one. Will the characters be able to feel their way to reason when their nerves are stripped to the core?

Train Tracks Reviews

In his new novel, Train Tracks, Alderman brilliantly tackles the trials and challenges inherent in the human condition. Alderman’s gentle and thoughtful tone brings to light the unique differences in our individual realities. In a melting pot of beliefs and traditions, Train Tracks shows us that diversity and contrast are tools that help us expand our awareness of our interconnectedness.

RE: New Novel
Congratulations, boston!

Most people don't realize how much hard work is involved in writing much less how difficult getting published can be.

Thank you, Major. This book has taken off. Being the #1 New Release for Drama on Amazon is heartwarming. Another book I've written is very patriotic and is a coffee table item. It is accompanied by a CD with JoDee Messina singing the National Anthem, other songs as well, and she does a reading of the story. It is called The Rocket's Red Glare.

Hope all is well and be safe.

TRAIN TRACKS by Peter Alderman is an extremely important book to read because of it's very crutial subjects. The problems of both child abuse and racism are spotlighted. These very difficult topics are explored as Peter tells a riveting story with many unlikely twists and turns. A family must deal with the effects of child abuse in their home and racism in their town.
Because of each characters' complex make up and the story's unpredictability, this book becomes a real page-turner. The reader will become very anxious to determine if good OR evil will prevail.
Everyone needs to read this "think piece"!

Peter Alderman has tackled difficult social injustices in Train Tracks. These subjects are so important and need to be address by our society more. Peter shines a light on child abuse, alcoholism, infidelity, racism, and wealth privilege by intertwining them in a compelling story of love and forgiveness. I must say I was shocked at the beginning of the book but loved how Peter dealt with and tied up all the storylines by the end of the novel. It would be great if everyone in the world read this book and gained insights and lessons By which to live! Bravo Peter Alderman!

Train Tracks was a wild ride. Today is the first time in my life that I’ve finished a 350+ page book in less than 2 days. This needs to be a movie. I can’t stop thinking about it.

I was angry. I was afraid. I cried. I learned to forgive. Absolutely AMAZING! A must read. I read frequently. Perhaps the best book I’ve read to date.

In his debut novel, Alderman proves to be a wonderful storyteller. Train Tracks opens the reader’s eyes to a world many of us have not experienced, but one that we should all recognize exists. He offers meaningful lessons in forgiveness, redemption and unconditional love.

Terrific story and presented in a manner that captivated me from the outset. Once started, Train Tracks is hard to put down. A true "page turner"! I haven't said that about many books.

The author Mr. Alderman, is to be commended in presenting Train Tracks for our reading enjoyment.

Train Tracks is highly recommended!
