Pretty much. Shouldn't be surprised. it would be the typical #goacc move to hire someone with ties to either Tobacco Road or it's sycophants with just a basketball background.

According to the interwebs,

Quote:Baratunde A. Cola (born March 17, 1981) is a scientist and engineer specializing in carbon nanotube technology.

So we've got that going for us.

The Search Advisory Committee is just window dressing. They are not making any decisions. Decisions are made by the Executive Committee.

Looked him up, he actually played football at Vandy. He might be the voice of reason in the room.

Every school got at least 1. Florida St, North Carolina, North Carolina St, Notre Dame, and Syracuse each got 2.

I think we will see a short term play at commissioner to transition a lot of change over the next few years.
Swarbrick gets some cover after moving the Irish into the conference full time, plus it softens the blow to the old guard Notre Dame fans and gives them a sense of ownership and a share of control over a completely new experience.

Now don't get me wrong. I'm still the best choice and since I already live in Greensboro, I would not have to relocate, but I will defer to Swarbrick's experience.

I think he's your man.
