Tigers vs Ark St By The Numbers
The question will be which team will protect their QB better and who wins the turnover margin. Tigers should be able to run at will against the team formally known as the Indians.

Question is can the Tigers d line disrupt the ASU passing game enough to slow their passing game?

Third DC in 3 years always leaves a team with questions on defense. Especially since there was no spring practice this past year.

Look for a vanilla type defense for the Tigers with emphasis on pressuring the QB.

Gainwell and Martin should have field days with the ASU rush defense. Just hoping that the offense does not score too quickly on too many drives to allow the defense time to get some rest.

Baring turnovers I do not think ASU can match the Tigers offensively but a tired defense can lead to injuries.

15 green to 7 Clear Red. Should be a 16 point favorite but I would not take the Red Wolves for granted. They love to beat us.

Nice data. Thanks for posting.

If the Tigers can step up our Defense under Coach MacIntyre, we can field a really good team this year. Our O and our special teams are already excellent.

Great information and those numbers are just down right depressing to look at from a stAte standpoint. Our defense was just sad last year. We did have an inordinate amount of injuries but that's no excuse. Next man. I sure hope we're better this year. We sure need to be because we'd like another conference championship. I, for one, really miss those.

When a team is 10th in the nation in passing offense, but 112th in rushing offense that usually means 2 things: first they give up a lot of sacks, and second they are usually playing catch up football. Is this the case here?

AND they will be playing the highest profile game in the history, or close to it.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

Teams ran on us a lot and converted on 3rd down almost 40% of the time.

So saying they just need to get 3 and outs is a lot easier than actually doing it.

Sort of. The biggest culprit was a mediocre defense that struggled to keep offenses out of the end zone. As a result, we rarely got to participate in a blowout. Our run game was always mediocre and a Freshman QB struggled to make decisions under pressure as expected. Offensively there was a feeling that we had to score every possession to stay in it.
